Jennifer Lopez Cleverly Dodges Question About Ben Affleck Calling Her 'Spectacular' Amid Divorce
Jennifer Lopez was asked how she felt about her estranged husband, Ben Affleck, calling her "spectacular" in her new "Unstoppable" movie.
Jennifer Lopez doesn't want to be bothered about her past love affairs. When asked how she felt about her estranged husband, Ben Affleck, calling her "spectacular" in her new "Unstoppable" movie, she skillfully sidestepped the question.
The singer also recently refrained from answering questions about her relationship with her embattled ex-lover, Sean "Diddy" Combs, during an autograph signing session.
Amid her split from Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez opened up about her plans for the holidays and the new year, explaining her hopes to "continue challenging" herself.
How Jennifer Lopez Responded To A Question About Ben Affleck
The 55-year-old singer-actress remained tight-lipped about a question on her ex-husband, Ben Affleck, during her appearance at the U.K. premiere of their "Unstoppable" movie on Monday, per Page Six.
In a video making the rounds on X, Lopez stood to answer questions from a red carpet reporter who asked her how she would describe Affleck's producing in the movie, mentioning that he'd earlier called her performance "spectacular" during a conversation with Entertainment Tonight.
"Erm, I would describe all of the cast and everybody behind the scenes as spectacular and wonderful," she skillfully replied without directing her comment to the "Argo" actor.
Her film, "Unstoppable," follows the real story of wrestling champion Anthony Robles, played by Jharrel Jerome, who was born with one leg, and focuses on his close bond with his mother, Judy Robles, which Lopez played.
The movie is set to hit theaters on December 6 and features a cast including Lopez, Jharrel Jerome, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, and Don Cheadle.
The Singer Recently Dodged A Question About Diddy
The "Atlas" actress recently dodged a question about her embattled ex-lover Sean "Diddy" Combs during an autograph signing session for a group of fans, per the Daily Mail.
Diddy has been locked up since September at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center following a federal indictment and has been charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
As Lopez signed on, an eager fan reportedly walked up to her and asked, "JLo, do you have any comments about Diddy and the allegations?"
This reportedly caused her to stop signing the autograph and storm out the door even though other fans pleaded, "Don't leave."
Jennifer Lopez Doesn't Regret Divorcing Ben Affleck
Lopez and Affleck tied the knot two years ago amid much rave about their relationship after previously dating in the early 2000s.
However, their marriage was trailed by reports of a split earlier this year before the "Hustlers" actress filed for divorce from Affleck on August 20.
She recently sat down with Nikki Glaser for an Interview Magazine chat, where she was asked if she had any regrets about her split from the "Accountant 2" actor.
"Not one second," Lopez stated. "That doesn't mean it didn't almost take me out for good. It almost did. But now, on the other side of it, I think to myself, 'F-ck, that is exactly what I needed. Thank you, God. I'm sorry it took me so long. I'm sorry that you had to do this to me so many times."
Jennifer Lopez Sets Sight On The Holidays And New Year
Meanwhile, Lopez is looking to put a tough year behind her as she gets ready for Christmas and New Year celebrations with a special self-care treat.
According to People Magazine, the "Ain't Your Mama" singer acknowledged that the festive period is usually the busiest part of the year for her but shared that she's looking to keep her routine "consistent" while engaging in a little bit of self "pampering."
"It was a pretty intense year for me, and I'm most looking forward to spending time with my kids and my family coming out from the East Coast," she shared. "The holidays are such a special time for us and they've always been since I was a little girl. And I really look forward to those moments when I can be with my sisters and just relax and have fun and create new memories."
Lopez said the holidays allow her to "slow down" and "enjoy" being with her loved ones, which includes her twin Emme and Max, her New York-based sister Lynda, and her mother Guadalupe.
"We don't get to see each other all year, so we kind of catch up on what everybody's doing and how life is. It's just a beautiful time. I really enjoy it," she said.
She Hopes To Form A 'Deeper Connection' With God
Speaking on her projection for the New Year, Lopez shared that balance and growth would be her watchword after a seemingly tough year that saw her marriage crash.
"I think a lot of it is about a deeper connection to myself and to God," she said, continuing, "making sure we're checking with ourselves so we can be great for everybody that we love around us."
She added, "I'm also setting my sights on pushing my boundaries creatively and seeing where that takes me, whether that's through acting or music or producing or expanding JLo Beauty. I want to continue challenging myself to evolve and to try new things while all the while being true to who I am and those that I love."
