This post contains spoilers from the Wednesday, Nov. 6, episode of The Challenge 40: Battle of the Eras.

The Challenge 40: Battle of the Eras set out to determine the greatest Challenger of all time. With only Rachel Robinson left standing from Era 1, it could be argued that the longest-tenured players in the game might not be the GOATs.

The Nov. 6 episode of The Challenge 40 put four competitors up on its own Mount Rushmore: Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio, Cara Maria Sorbello, Laurel Stucky and Chris “CT” Tamburello. Jordan Wiseley hoped to add himself to the sculpture of greats, and the animated Mount Rushmore showed what it would look like to have the Real World; Portland alum alongside the other four champs.

“I want to be known as the competitor,” Wiseley, 34, told ex-fiancée Tori Deal. “World Champs was cool, I want to get another win here. It’d be five. I’d be in the same boat as CT.“

Tamburello, 44, got eliminated earlier in the season, and Stucky, 39, was excited after the daily challenge in the Nov. 6 episode. Host TJ Lavin announced that the challenge on Nov. 6 would be a mini final — and a purge. That meant that the last female and male finishers automatically went home, and the second-to-last place finisher for the men would head into elimination. The second to last-place woman would receive a disadvantage in the next challenge.

When Stucky found herself in the bottom two alongside Michele Fitzgerald, she decided to drop out. “I’m done. I’m good. I want to go home,” Stucky declared. “This is not something I want to do anymore.”

The All Stars season 4 winner called the challenge “torture.” “I am peacing the f--- out,” she told the cameras. “This is actually torture, so I do not want to be tortured.”

Nehemiah Clark landed in last place for the men after the daily challenge, too, and made his exit. Penultimate finisher Theo Campbell went into elimination for the men against Devenanzio, 42, and the Death, Taxes and Bananas podcast host came out on top after taunting daily challenge winners Deal, 31, and Kyland Young in The Chamber.

Knowing that Deal wouldn’t put her ex-fiancé into elimination, Devenanzio decided to clip his toenails, file his fingernails and trim his beard during the deliberation.

“I know I’m going into The Arena, so I just want to make sure I look good doing it,” he told Deal and Young, 33. “And I’m ready to go.”

Campbell got to submit a karma vote upon his elimination after Devenanzio selected Fitzgerald, 34, Sorbello, 38, and Olivia Kaiser as the next targets. The seven-time champ also proved why he earned a spot on The Challenge's version of Mount Rushmore.
