Diaz and Foxx sat down for an interview with Extra that dropped on Jan. 16, where the "Back in Action" star shared her feelings about Foxx's stroke.

Foxx was in Atlanta to film scenes from the film when he suddenly got a headache and passed out. He later learned that he'd suffered from a brain bleed that led to a stroke, and the "Blame It" singer spent 20 days in a coma after having emergency surgery. The 57-year-old also had to learn how to walk again at a rehabilitation center in Chicago.

Diaz and Foxx have been friends for 25 years and have starred in two other films together — "Any Given Sunday" in 1999 and the 2014 remake of "Annie."

Diaz said that Foxx was brave for sharing the details of his stroke in his Netflix special, "Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was..."

"For every person who knows Jamie, like, it, it, it was terrifying," said Diaz. "For everybody who loves Jamie, the world, like, everybody was concerned… I can't even imagine how he feels. I'm so proud of him, how brave he was to do his show, to let us all know. But you know, it’s hard. You walk up to him and he’s like, 'Everybody cries!'"

The "Charlie's Angeles" actress is raising two children with her husband, musician Benji Madden, and as previously reported by The Blast, Diaz credited Foxx as the "only person" who could've gotten her to another movie.

"I thought that if I was going to come back and do a movie, the only person I'd come back and do it with would be this guy," said Diaz. "Seriously. I had other opportunities along the way and I was always saying, 'No. I'm not doing it, I've told you… What? Jamie asked? Jamie? Oh, I can do a movie with Jamie!'"

'Back in Action' Is Available On Netflix

"Back in Action" premiered on Netflix today, and Foxx and Diaz play a married couple who are former spies for the CIA in the film.

The couple is forced back into the world of espionage after their cover is blown, and the duo has to explain their old life to their children after confronting some bad guys at a gas station.

"Years after giving up life as CIA spies to start a family, Emily (Cameron Diaz) and Matt (Jamie Foxx) find themselves dragged back into the world of espionage when their cover is blown," read a Netflix promo.

"Back in Action" is currently streaming on Netflix.
