However, he’s got a 5lb penalty as a result of his wins and his latest was as recent as six days ago. Duhallow Tommy went well last time out after a short break from his third at Fontwell in October. This will be just his second chase start over 2m and the step down in trip could be beneficial given his form over 2m1f. But Beat Box still might not be able to be caught even with his penalty and carrying top-weight as he came back stronger in 2024 picking up six wins and that’s bound to continue. Hourvari Thought this horse would win last time out but he did face a tough task coming back from 395 days off. But on his second run this season he could certainly bounce back to form as he’s now 6lb lower than when he won at Market Rasen back in March 2023. His second to Mr Bramley was encouraging in a six runner race at Wetherby and makes huge appeal as big as 4/1 now. Triple Trade This is a pretty consistent chaser who’s gone down in the weights recently, finishing quite far back in all three runs this season so does come with risk attached. But I’m hoping there’s going to be some resurgence from Triple Trade going back up in trip, where that also coincided with his last win at Ascot in December 2023, winning over 2m3f. That coupled with the fact he’s back down another 3lb he’s got a great chance of bouncing back in quite an open contest. Della Casa Lunga Top-rated mare in the field and she was a big winner last time out following up from her promising second place finish behind Kateira in the listed Mares’ Hurdle at Kempton in November. She’s got a great chance of continuing her rise in the weights as they all carry the same in this listed hurdle contest. Far ahead of the second favourites Aston Martini and Dameofthecotswolds. Livin On Luco Should go well with 7lb claimer Callum Pritchard back on board who steered him to victory on chase debut at Newton Abbot, back in October. Did not go well at Cheltenham last time out but there could be a few reasons for that, not least the big mistake early on which seemed to dictate his ability to forge on. He’s looked like a horse that can go well chasing and though his progression seemed to halt last time out, he’s got a much better chance at this course. Some may be concerned about his run over 3m again but he went well over this distance back in April last year over hurdles, plus his trainers Philip Hobbs & Johnson White are in great form.
