Real Madrid’s team bus was involved in a motorway crash a day after their defeat to Liverpool. Warwickshire Police provided talkSPORT with the following statement: “Our officers responded to reports of a collision involving a car, a lorry, and the coach of a well-known football team on the M40 southbound between junction 16 for Hockley Heath and junction 15 for Warwick. “Fortunately, nobody was seriously injured. The players from the well-known football team were not on the coach at the time. “We have seen photos and videos of the collision on social media so we would like to remind people that it is illegal to take photos and videos while in control of a vehicle.” Madrid had lost 2-0 to Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday night. Warwickshire is more than 100 miles south of where the match took place. AS in Spain claim that the bus was new for the club, and had only been used for just over a month. Meanwhile MARCA add that the drivers were amidst a 2076 kilometre 20 hour journey which always takes place for away matches. The match against Liverpool was Madrid’s second away fixture of a Champions League campaign in which they’ve struggled. The defending champions were downed at Anfield by goals from Alexis MacAllister and Cody Gakpo, while Kylian Mbappe and Mohamed Salah both missed penalties.
