Natalie Portman Dating Musician Tanguy Destable After Divorce: Reports

Natalie Portman is off the market after her divorce from Benjamin Millepied, according to multiple reports.

The Lady in the Lake actress, 43, is reportedly dating French musician Tanguy Destable. French publication Voici was first to report the news on Friday, March 7.

Portman’s budding relationship comes one year after she finalized her divorce from Millepied, 47. Portman and Millepied met on the set of the 2010’s Black Swan and tied the knot two years later in August 2012.

The Oscar winner welcomed son Aleph, 13, and daughter Amalia, 8, with Millepied during their 11-year marriage. However, rumors surfaced in June 2023 that there was trouble in paradise when Millepied was accused of having an affair.

Portman initially stuck by Millepied’s side as rumors circulated about him and then-25-year-old climate activist Camille Étienne. The scandal, however, proved to be too much as Us Weekly confirmed in August 2023 that Portman and Millepied had separated.

The actress seemingly ushered in the new era of her life in January 2024, stepping out at the Governors Awards without her wedding ring.

Portman “looked the other way for a long time,” a source exclusively told Us in January 2024, noting that Millepied “casts a spell on women.”

A separate insider claimed that after a rocky year, Portman was ready to move forward. “She’s a realist who isn’t going to stick around trying to save something that’s unfixable,” the source said at the time, adding that Portman “gave this marriage her best shot.”

Two months later, a source told Us that Portman was not “interested” in giving Millepied another shot after his alleged affair. However, the May December actress was being “civil” toward the choreographer “for the kids.”

Portman’s rep confirmed in March 2024 that she and Millepied recently finalized their divorce. “Natalie is her confident self [again],” a source exclusively told Us in June 2024, noting that Portman had “turned a corner” and was “coming into her own self-happiness.”

While Portman sparked romance speculation in May 2024 that she was dating Paul Mescal after the pair were spotted laughing outside a London bar, the insider said she was single.

Millepied, meanwhile, was spotted kissing a mystery woman in Paris in October 2024. The PDA display didn’t come as a shock to Portman, according to an insider.

“Natalie isn’t surprised that Benjamin has moved on because of how their relationship ended,” the source exclusively told Us at the time, adding that Portman “hopes Benjamin is happy.”

A second insider explained that Portman wasn’t letting Millepied’s personal life affect her own happiness. “Benjamin’s dating life doesn’t really have any bearing on Natalie,” the source shared. “She’s super happy in her life right now and has been prioritizing family and friends.”

While Portman has yet to confirm her own relationship status, her rumored boyfriend, 44, isn’t a stranger to public romances.

Destable, whose stage name is Tepr, dated French actress Louise Bourgoin for years. The exes share two sons, whom they welcomed in 2016 and 2020, respectively.
