Naomi Osaka posts Instagram statement as she announces end of relationship with rapper Cordae

Naomi Osaka and Cordae have broken up after five years together. The four-time Grand Slam champion announced on social media, that she and her longtime boyfriend, Cordae Brooks, known by his stage name, Cordae, have ended their relationship. Unfortunately for the professional tennis player, she has struggled as of late on the court. She missed the majority of the Asia Swing of the 2024 WTA season after suffering a back and abdominal injury during her match against Coco Gauff. That put a premature end to her comeback season, after giving birth to their daughter in July of 2023. Then, just as she was finally rounding into form at the ASB Classic in New Zealand this past weekend, she suffered another abdominal injury in the final against Clara Tauson. Osaka was visibly upset after she had to retire in the championship match of the ASB ClassicGetty Osaka took the first set 6-4 but was forced to retire as a result of the injury. The former world No. 1 has not been able to catch a break. Due to the injury, Osaka’s status for the Australian Open is now in doubt.
