My New Dyson Vacuum Sucked So Much Grime Out of My Seemingly Clean Floors — and It’s 50% Off
It got every last one of my 90-pound dog’s hairs

I wouldn’t go as far as calling myself a neat freak, but there’s no denying I like things clean, tidy, and organized. That’s why I was so bummed when my first Dyson vacuum cleaner started to make concerning sounds after six years of faithful service.
Naturally, I jumped at the chance to buy a new vacuum from my favorite brand at Walmart’s big holiday sale, and this time, I opted for the snazzy Dyson V7 Advanced Cordless Vacuum while it’s half its usual price. Coincidentally, my new model came in the mail just one day after I vacuumed my entire apartment with its predecessor, so I didn’t feel the need to give it an immediate test run. That changed when my husband and 90-pound dog with a pension for shedding came back from the dog park covered in dirt.

After quickly wiping down my dog (and husband), I gave our front door area a quick once over with the new Dyson and was immediately hooked. It so effortlessly eliminated every bit of dirt, grime, and damp pet hair, that I emptied the extremely easy-to-use canister and decided to keep going. Even though I had just vacuumed the entirety of my apartment the day before, the V7 filled up with even more pet hair and debris than I could have imagined, leaving me disgusted and amazed by its power.
That’s thanks to its power trigger and boost mode for added suction to let no bit of dirt or dust escape. The vac also has a detangling motor that fights against pet hair’s — and my own long strands’ — tendency to knot and coil inside the machine. I love how light it is, which makes pushing it around my home less of a chore, plus, the fact that it’s cordless means never worrying about the plug falling out of the wall or needing to find a new outlet once I move to another room. Even installing the charging station, which required two quick screws, was a breeze. Everything about this vacuum is easy.
Plenty of other shoppers agree, too. The vac has over 400 five-star reviews from people who describe it as wonderful and say it does an incredibly good job of cleaning their homes. One person said they own three for different areas of their home and office, and another said they’ve bought this vacuum twice because they know it’s going to last and do a perfect job for years to come.
