Martha Stewart and José Andrés are joining forces to help mentor a group of hot-tempered chefs.

The lifestyle maven and famed restaurateur will be co-hosting a new cooking competition series, Yes, Chef, this upcoming spring. The pair will also serve as executive producers on the new NBC series.

The series “will reform hot tempers, egos and attitudes in the heat of the kitchen” and “blend the high-stakes thrill of a cooking competition with the raw emotion of personal transformation as it delves into the powerful personalities attracted to the chaotic culinary lifestyle,” according to the press release.

Yes, Chef! will put 12 talented chefs against one another — each of whom has been nominated by their bosses, coworkers, friends and family — for the ultimate test.

“These rising stars all have natural talent, but their egos, intensity, stubbornness or short fuses are holding them back from reaching their full potential,” the press release said.

But Stewart, 83, and Andrés, 55, will dish out some tough love and guide the chefs “through a series of intense culinary challenges designed to test and overcome their personal issues.”

The competition will challenge the chefs’ personal skills as well as their culinary talents, and then the last chef standing with the “right attitude” will take home the cash prize of $250,000.
