Chris Rock is gearing up to host Saturday Night Live for the fourth time.
On Dec. 14, the actor, 59, will serve as host of the comedy sketch series for the first time since 2020, when he kicked off the show's 46th season amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rock, who was a cast member on SNL from 1990 to 1993 will also take the stage for the first time since the 2022 Oscars incident with Will Smith.

Though it's unclear whether there will be a sketch referencing the drama — one insider says don't rule it out — another source tells PEOPLE that regardless, Rock is "doing great" now.
"He's looking forward to concentrating on his comedy and career, and he is writing a ton," the source continues.
Speaking about the Smith incident specifically, the source adds, "He talked about during his Netflix special [Selective Outrage] and a little bit in the press, but has since moved on."

As for his dating life? Another insider notes that he's not dating anyone seriously.
He was previously linked to actress Lake Bell in 2022, after the two were seen on vacation in Croatia together.
At the time, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that the duo "have been seeing each other for a few weeks," and added, "They are getting to know each other and seem to have fun."
