This month's lunation will disappear in the night sky as it turns to a new moon at 4:45 p.m. PT on Feb. 27, transforming its radiant glow into its blacked-out appearance at its peak.

Despite its physical presence up above, the new moon's energy will be significantly felt astrologically. This lunar phase in particular triggers new beginnings, cycles and patterns.

A new moon's energy is especially story at its peak, though its corresponding effects will be felt in the days surrounding its arrival. February's new moon will rise in Pisces (9 degrees), bringing forth the Water sign's relating themes into each of our lives.

"Pisces is the final zodiac sign upon the wheel and signifies the ending, resolution and evolution of the human spirit and life cycle," celebrity astrologer Kyle Thomas tells PEOPLE exclusively. "We can use this period to reflect on what we have built and experienced over the past year."

Pisces energy is tied to spirituality, creativity, soulmate connections, mysticism and healing, which he says "we'll have increased accessibility to each of these energies" during this time before Aries season begins on March 20 with the arrival of the Spring Equinox.

As for astrological aspects coloring this lunation, the new moon is square Jupiter. "We will feel optimistic and enlightened with opportunities to push us to new horizons," predicts Thomas.

The new moon is trine Mars, which he says "can fire us up to lead, be courageous and make personal or professional movements." He adds, "We will feel attraction, passion and desire and can be direct and assertive."

Neptune, the planetary ruler of this lunation, will be conjunct Mercury, which Thomas says "will bring creativity, spiritual thoughts and emotions our way." Thomas continues, "We will desire relaxation, pleasure and connection."

Treat yourself, Aries! "The new moon will help you to relax, lie low and recharge your batteries," predicts Thomas.

"Prepare for some deep sleep and some profound dreams during this time," he continues. "It’d be a great period to fantasize about how you’d like to build your life in the coming year as well as what you need to release in order to be happier."

Taurus (April 19-May 20)

You're the talk of the town, Taurus! "With the new moon energizing your social life and network, you could find that everyone wants a piece of you now," says Thomas.
