Oliveira didn’t have the best start to his UFC career, racking up two defeats and a no-contest decision in his first five appearances for the promotion. In fact his third UFC fight, which he lost to Jim Miller after the American submitted him with a kneebar, was the first-ever loss of his MMA career after 14 successive wins.
