Tommy Fury returns to boxing ring with fight against former UFC title contender next year

Tommy Fury’s return to the ring has been locked in for January 18. Fury has been out of action since he beat KSI in October last year and underwent surgery in January to fix a long-standing injury to his right hand. Fury’s return to the ring has been announcedGetty But the former Love Island star, who endured a high-profile break-up with Molly-Mae Hague in August, will be back in action on January 18 in Manchester as he fights former UFC star Darren Till on a Misfits Boxing card. Till, who fought and lost to Tyron Woodley in a bout for the UFC welterweight championship in 2018, has just one exhibition boxing bout to his name. The 31-year-old fought Palestinian MMA star Mohammad Mutie in July this year and beat him via TKO albeit in controversial circumstances as the punch that led to the victory was to the back of Mutie’s head. Fury’s appearance on a Misfits card comes after the promotion’s chief Mams Taylor revealed he was in talks with the former reality TV star in October about his comeback fight. “I think Tommy would do really well on the Misfits roster,” Taylor told The Sun. “And I know our teams are in touch with their team. So watch this space. Let’s see what happens.”
