While it may not have the fame of the ubiquitous, dressy Tank Louis or the IYKYK cachet of the Cintrée, it’s a typically playful and creative Cartier model that looks smashing on both male and female wrists. The design—a round case with a captive cabochon crown integrated into the thick bezel—is based upon a balloon, while the Roman-numeral dial with railroad minute track and sword hands easily identifies it as coming from the Parisian maison. Available in numerous sizes, metals, and configurations, Chalamet’s is an automatic reference in 36mm with a pink sunray dial and a matching pink alligator leather strap. The watch’s pinkness was an essential piece of Chalamet’s all-pink outfit on the 14th.What’s most impressive about the Ballon Bleu is that it was only introduced in 2007. LeBron James’s Patek Philippe Nautilus

LeBron has an extensive watch collection full of bangers, but we’re particularly partial to the rose-gold Nautilus that he wore during NBA All-Star Weekend. Measuring 40 mm and featuring a matching rose gold bracelet with a fold-over clasp, this modern take on Genta’s luxury sports watch classic features a sunburst brown dial with a horizontally embossed pattern, applied hour markers, and several complications and features. The automatic Caliber 240 PS IRM C LU controls a power reserve indicator between 10 and 11 o’clock, a combination moon phase and date indicator between 6 and 8 o’clock, and a running seconds display between 4 and 5 o’clock.

Jason Mamoa’s Leica ZM1 Gold Limited Edition

Jason Mamoa wore a gold Leica watch with his tuxedo to the SNL 50: Anniversary Special event in New York City last week. The ZM1 Gold Limited Edition is one of those deep-cut, watch-guy sleeper hits that should be more well known, but somehow still flies under the radar. It’s a 41-mm watch that references the famous German manufacturer’s cameras. This particular edition is composed of 33.4 grams of 18k rose gold and Grade 5 titanium. Furthermore, the shutter-inspired red-dot crown controls an innovative hacking function that allows one to precisely set the time without pulling out the crown. Nifty!
