Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley are infamous for their love of gambling. The NBA greats enjoy putting their money where their mouths are – and even celebrities struggle to keep up. Jordan and Barkley love to hit up a casinoGetty Cedric the Entertainer once joined MJ and Chuck in a casino and was left in disbelief at what he saw. Co-host Matt Barnes asked the stand-up comic if he used to gamble with the duo in Las Vegas on the All the Smoke podcast. “Man, one time, let me just get that s*** very goddamn clear. They gamble on another level, man,” Cedric replied. “I was gambling with Barkley. We was at the roulette table. He liked to play roulette at that time. So he was at the roulette table. I’m stacking on top of him. He going hard. “Barkley and MJ, they can do that thing. So he got two, three hundred thousand out on the thing. I got a thousand. Every spin. “So MJ comes in. MJ just grabbed a stack of Barkley’s chips. Maybe $150,000 or something. Barkley’s like, ‘Hey, man, what you get?’ “MJ said, ‘Does it matter? You know I got you. Like, whatever it is, come on. Tell me what it is. I’m MJ. I got you. What you need? I just don’t want to go and get chips.’ “So he went over there, he was gambling. I tried to go over there with that game, it was just embarrassing to try to get in there. “They doing like $300,000 a hand. And I’m coming over there with my little $100 chips. Everybody like, ‘Oh yeah, hold on, wait till the next one. I was like, ‘Oh, I can’t even get in on this?’ Like, ‘No, you don’t need to be on this side, this ain’t for you over here.'” Jordan is also a keen golfer and, unsurprisingly, there was always money on the line. GettyEven celebs think the money involved is too much[/caption] Cedric recalled one time where the action got a little bit much for him. “He liked to gamble with golfing. So there’s like that whole thing of, ‘Whatever you want to play for, it don’t matter.’ “I’m trying to act like I’m a good player. I’m like, ‘$1,000 a hole then.’ “I wasn’t doing the math. I lost every hole. $18,000. You don’t get to just tell the wife, ‘It is what it is.’ “They doing $30,000 a hole – $45,000 a hole. They doing billionaire s*** or whatever they doing. I’m like trying to act like I’m somebody. That hurt.” At $45,000 per hole, a golfer could end up owing $810,000 – a risky proposition with MJ having a 1.9 handicap. MJ is no slouch on the golf course Barkley and Inside the NBA co-host Shaquille O’Neal took gambling to another level this season. Shaq lost a $5million Cleveland Cavaliers wager to Chuck live on air – and paid up. O’Neal asked somebody to fetch his bag of bills and started stacking them on the table.
