Teddi Mellencamp’s Sister Shares Update After Brain Tumor Surgery

Teddi Mellencamp’s sister is giving an emotional update on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star following her brain tumor diagnosis and surgery.

“Watching a loved one suffer is horrific,” Justice Mellencamp wrote via her Instagram Story on Sunday, February 16, per the Daily Mail. “I’ve tried to get back to everyone who has reached out & I know Teddi will share her journey when she is ready. She is by far the strongest person I know.”

Alongside the message, Justice shared a black-and-white photo of her beside Teddi’s hospital bed where she appeared to be sleeping.

“So many emotions as I travel home today but her village is the best one I’ve ever seen and I’m so grateful for them!” Justice concluded. “Your prayers are everything. Thank you.”

Teddi, 43, broke the news about her health on Wednesday, February 12, sharing that she had been experiencing “severe and debilitating headaches” for weeks.

“Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization,” Teddi wrote via Instagram. “After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least 6 months. Two of the tumors will be surgically removed today. The remaining smaller tumors will be dealt with via radiation at a later date.”

She continued, “I am blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses and surgeons who are doing everything possible to get me back into better health. Thank you to everybody who has reached out, and to everyone who has supported me along this journey.”

Hours later, Teddi shared an Instagram Story video of her friend shaving off her hair. “I’m gonna have this look on my bucket list,” Teddi quipped on Wednesday. “My best look. I hate to break it to my brother but once I’m allowed to wash my hair and it’s not all spiky, I think I’ve taken you for a run for your money, Hud. I’ll see you tomorrow and we’ll see who wore it best.”

In another Story, Teddi revealed that pal Kyle Richards was present as she prepared for her operation, as well as country singer Morgan Wade and Teddi’s estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave. (Teddi filed for divorce from Arroyave, 47, in November 2024. The pair share daughters Slate, 12, and Dove, 4, as well as son Cruz, 10.)

Arroyave later shared an update on his estranged wife following her surgery.

“So many people asking for updates. All I will say right now is surgery went well,” he wrote via his Instagram Story on Thursday, February 13. “That said, I’ve never seen @teddimellencamp in so much pain. She’s finally getting some needed rest. I know she is so grateful for the outpouring of love.”
