talkSPORT betting tips – Best football bets and expert advice for Saturday 7 December

There is a feast of football on Saturday with Premier League fixtures and a whole host of action further down the pyramid.  We have a trio of selections which make up our best bets of the day on what should be a cracking Saturday. GET £30 IN FREE BETS WITH TALKSPORT BET Bet of the Day Bristol City to beat Portsmouth @ 23/20  Bristol City got back to winning ways with a 4-0 hammering of Plymouth last weekend, and while that made only three wins in eight second-tier matches for the Robins, Liam Manning’s men are a far better side than that record suggests.  Bristol City were clearly the better team when losing 1-0 to Watford at Vicarage Road prior to the success over Plymouth and the Robins have faced the Championship’s top-three teams in Sheff Utd, Leeds and Burnley in their last eight games. A trip to Portsmouth looks a far less taxing tie, with Pompey winning only two second-tier matches all season.  John Mousinho’s men have scored just seven goals in seven Championship games at Fratton Park this term and the south coast side may struggle to stay with a good Bristol City outfit.  Special of the Day  Norwich to win and over 1.5 goals v QPR @ 2/1  Norwich have scored a whopping 35 goals in 18 Championship matches this term and the Canaries can take flight again when they head to QPR.  Johannes Hoff Thorup has led his side to a 4-2 victory over Luton and 6-1 hammering of Plymouth in Norwich’s last two matches and the Norfolk men look ready to strike again.  QPR have won only one of their last 14 second-tier games and the Hoops have also kept only one clean sheet at Loftus Road all season. Rangers conceded four goals in a west London tie with Middlesbrough and three in games against West Brom and Hull.  Norwich should prove far too good for QPR and taking the Canaries to win and over 1.5 goals in the games boosts the potential return to a juicy 2/1. GET £30 IN FREE BETS WITH TALKSPORT BET Long Shot of the Day Over 4.5 goals in Plymouth v Oxford @ 13/2 There are plenty of Championship games left to play, but with only a point separating Oxford and Plymouth at the wrong end of the second-tier table it’s difficult not to feel that Saturday’s game carries extra importance.  Only one team in the bottom-half of the Championship table has scored more home goals than Plymouth, but Wayne Rooney’s men have conceded a staggering 38 goals this term.  That leaky record includes the Pilgrims allowing ten strikes in their last two games, and with Oxford shipping 28 Championship goals this season, another high-scoring contest in on the cards on Saturday. talkSPORT BET Offer Bet £10 And Get £30 In Free Bets CLAIM HERE T&Cs: 18+ New customers only.
