Sundance 2025 Is a Weirdo Menswear Feast

Where Cannes has couture gowns on seaside red carpets and Venice has designer duds on canal-bound speedboats, Sundance has parkas and snow boots on icy sidewalks. But if you know anything about the kind of cold-weather menswear we dig around here (the weirder, the better), that actually means we’re bound to see some great duds.Since the fest kicked off in Park City (which you may also recall as the site of another major style event: Gwyneth Paltrow’s ski trial) last week, the Hollywood stars promoting their indie-leaning projects have taken to the snowy streets in their winter best. We’ve got Steven Yeun, gorpcore maestro, in a hefty wool overcoat and some lace-up hikers. Josh O’Connor in a cutie windbreaker and—what else?—a pair of Sambas. Zack Fox in below-the-knee jorts, gleaming white socks, and boat shoes. We come to this place (the cinema) for magic, and boy, have we found it here in Utah.Scroll on to see the best, and weirdest, menswear from the 2025 Sundance Film Festival thus far.London Entertainment1/33Logan LermanAll bundled up.Deadline/Getty Images2/33Josh O'ConnorSome proper sporty layering going here.London Entertainment3/33Christopher MeyerThere's still nothing cooler than a backwards fitted.Arturo Holmes/Getty Images4/33Steven YeunThe gorp king returns.Deadline/Getty Images5/33Callum TurnerNicely done!Neilson Barnard/Getty Images6/33Dylan O'BrienAnother big trend this season: the villain overcoat.London Entertainment7/33Elijah Wood
