Meri Brown is surprisingly the latest recipient of Kody Brown's emotional outburst, and she cannot believe her luck!

The "Sister Wives" patriarch was visibly shaken after he helped his former wife make the big move to Utah, and he spent a moment reflecting on the demise of their union.

Meri Brown was Kody Brown's first wife and the third to opt out of their plural marriage, following Christine Brown's and Janelle Brown's leads, leaving only Robyn Brown as his official wife.

In the preview of their upcoming November 24 episode, Kody was seen holding back tears as Meri settled into her new home in Utah.

"OK, alright. Meri, it's the end of an era. It was a great run, but I'm not gonna let it get me down," the star noted as he shared a long hug with his ex-wife amid heightened emotions.

However, Meri was held aback by Kody's emotional reaction to her exit as she was not used to seeing him be that vulnerable throughout their marriage.

Kody then explained that his emotional state was not because his life was in a state of disarray; it was simply because their time together meant something to him.

His statement made Meri agree that she and Kody "had something really good." He also made a quick trip down memory lane and how their marriage ended.

"We had something special," he said. "And it feels like it just all went to s–t sort of and there's just one thing and another thing and another thing. It's OK. I don't feel likeI'm not bitter anymore. I'm not angry."

He expressed gratitude for how they worked past their differences and have become great friends. But there is still a large void his multiple separations have left in his heart. In his words to Meri:

"I'm glad you're my favorite ex-wife. But it's the weirdest thing to be in that place. It's just heartbreaking in a way. I love the life I have, but it's a very different life than what I had three years ago, you know? It just seemed like everybody else just went, 'This isn't important.'"

Despite their long, tumultuous history together, it is safe to say things ended decently between the former couple. Kody was excited to help Meri move and admitted that it was a great step towards keeping them in an amicable place for future interactions.

"I'm very good with her moving on," the TLC star shared. "I hope this is a goodwill gesture that'll keep us in a good place with each other." For Meri, the move could not have happened at a much better time - on her wedding anniversary to Kody.

"It's almost like it's God, the universe, whatever, [is] like, 'You have done your time. Move on," she noted in the preview for the upcoming episode.

Meri's reaction to Kody's offering to help her move has stayed consistent. During the November 17 episode, she explained why she was so shocked by Kody's emotional reaction to her leaving Arizona.

"I don't understand Kody," she said. "He's done everything in his power to push me away for the past decade." The TV personality continued, "And now I'm moving and he's like, 'Why are you doing it so early?' Why do you care? Isn't this what you wanted?"

Despite Kody's mood, he noted that he still had reservations about Meri's move, especially concerning her wellbeing. However, he ultimately chose to remain silent as it was not safe to tell Meri what was going on in his heart anymore.

Meri may have also seen the gesture from Kody as a simple business arrangement to fill a very important gap in their marriage's demise. The star had wanted to move before her lease expired in June and as reported by The Blast, she asked Kody to help with the heavy lifting.

"My lease is up at the end of June. I just want to get it done before that. Anyway, I was just wondering if you'd be willing to help me load some stuff," she began.

As soon as Kody agreed to help her pack, Meri humorously responded, "Call it my severance package." She later clarified her joke, explaining it as a reference to her decision not to request alimony when she and Kody legally divorced in 2014.

"I put 30 years into this. Like, help me move and get out of here. Then we'll just be good to go. We'll call it even, I guess," she said. A confused Kody reacted to the joke, saying:

"I don't know if this is passive-aggressive or if it's just aggressive or if it's a joke. I haven't known my whole marriage."

They might be "friends" now, but Meri is not interested in taking things further by feasting and dining at her ex's home for Thanksgiving.

Concerning her decision, Meri disclosed that she declined Robyn's invitation to show up at the home she now shares with Kody as his only wife.

She also noted that Kody previously complained her presence creates an awkward energy in his interaction with Robyn. "I'm not going to inhibit that. You know, I'm not a member of the family. I just really don't want to go be a third wheel at Robyn and Kody's house," Meri reiterated.

Great minds truly think alike; that was the case for Meri and her friends when they surprised her with a transformed space and a peaceful sanctuary as a new home.

The home, once a simple storage area, was given a massive turnaround by interior designer Blair Struble and Meri's longtime friend, Jenn Sullivan.

The makeover was more than just a home improvement—it was an ode to Meri's new journey. The upgraded area now serves as a creative workspace for her online clothing business and a personal gym.

Meri was excited about the makeover and said, "I have some high expectations for this. I have seen some of the work that Blair does. I am so excited to see this."
