Selena Gomez might need some extra space on her bookshelf to make room for multiple trophies.
The 32-year-old actress and singer was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards on Monday, Dec. 9: Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture for Emilia Pérez, and Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series — Musical or Comedy for Only Murders in the Building.
Actors Morris Chestnut and Mindy Kaling announced the nominations at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where the awards show will be held live on Sunday, Jan. 5 at 8 p.m.
Shortly after the nominations wrapped, Gomez shared a video to her Instagram Stories showing her reaction. When Chestnut called her name in the motion picture category, she gasped and buried her face in her hands.

“I don’t even know what to write. I’m so proud of @zoesaldana and I am so grateful and honored @goldenglobes,” Gomez captioned the video, shouting out her costar and fellow nominee Zoe Saldaña.
In the ambitious musical drama Emilia Pérez, former Disney star Gomez plays Jessi, the devoted wife of Mexican drug lord Juan “Manitas” Del Monte (Karla Sofía Gascón), who has privately identified as female.
Shrewd attorney Rita (Saldaña) helps arrange for Manitas to fake their own death and receive gender-affirming surgery, becoming Emilia Pérez. Years later, Pérez once again enlists Rita's help to reunite her with Jessi and their kids.
In the motion picture category, Gomez and Saldaña are nominated alongside Ariana Grande (Wicked), Felicity Jones (The Brutalist), Margaret Qualley (The Substance) and Isabella Rosselini (Conclave).
The Golden Globe Foundation once again recognized Gomez’s work in the Hulu comedy Only Murders in the Building, the acclaimed comedy costarring Steve Martin and Martin Short. Gomez was nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series — Musical or Comedy at the past two awards ceremonies as well.
In another post on her Instagram Stories, Gomez shared a picture from set and wrote that she was “so proud” of her TV “family.”
Also nominated for that award this year: Kristen Bell (Nobody Wants This), Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary), Ayo Edebiri (The Bear), Kathryn Hahn (Agatha All Along) and Jean Smart (Hacks).
Speaking with PEOPLE at the premiere of Emilia Pérez at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, Gomez said she was “overwhelmed” by all of the amazing things happening in her career, adding “It’s such a wonderful gift.”
The Golden Globes air live on Sunday, Jan. 5, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
