Sebastian Roché doesn’t have plans to reprise his role as Jerry Jacks on General Hospital — at least not any time soon.
While recently speaking exclusively to PEOPLE — during a joint interview with his wife, Cobra Kai actress Alicia Hannah-Kim — Roché shared that his time on the long-running soap opera is behind him.
“I think it's firmly in the past. It was a great memory,” Roché, 60, said. “It was a great experience, but now I'm really in the creative. We have a lot of plans — Ali producing and writing, and me writing and continuing to act.”
However, the 1923 actor didn’t rule out a return to daytime entirely, jokingly saying, ”Who knows ... Grandpa Jack. You never know.“
“We'll schedule it in for 2060,” Hannah-Kim, 37, chimed in. ABC/ Everett Sebastian Roché as Jerry Jacks (left)and Ingo Rademacher as Jasper 'Jax' Jacks in a 'General Hospital' scene
Roché appeared on the ABC soap from 2007 to 2015, portraying the villainous Jerry (the character has been portrayed by three other actors at various points in the show’s run). Most recently, Jerry was imprisoned for his many crimes against the citizens of Port Charles. However, he escaped in a prison break, leaving his whereabouts unknown — and a potential return possible.
Roché also shared that he and his wife plan to delve more deeply into the behind-the-scenes aspects of the industry going forward, specifically “directing and writing,” and that they’ve even established their own production company, which they named Victoria House.
When it comes to upcoming projects in front of the camera, the actor says he would love to “do another one of Taylor Sheridan's 25,000 shows,” noting that working with Sheridan on 1923 was a dream come true.

“Just being on set, I was pinching myself in costume on horseback,” he recalled.
“It's going to be a very interesting [second] season, but it really is a dream come true in terms of a young French boy growing up near Paris, watching American movies, and then here I am ... on a massive set of a Western with an extraordinary part and an extraordinary journey in my character,” he said.
“I love those moments,” he added. “I'm like, ‘Oh, here I am. You're dreaming. What you were dreaming about is reality, and here you are.’ “
1923 season 2 premieres Feb. 23 at 12 a.m. ET on Paramount+.
