Scott Wolf’s wife, Kelley, has no time for the actor's medical advice — even though he plays the chief of internal medicine on the new Fox series Doc.

The Party of Five alum, 56, appeared on the Jan. 6th episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, where he shared that his offer to help was rejected after his family had “been stricken by […] some kind of virus.”

“My daughter has it the worst. My wife has it now,” said Wolf, who shares sons Jackson, 15, and Miller, 12, and daughter Lucy, 10, with his wife of 20 years. “There’s some mysterious symptoms. There’s some weird things. And I’m not a doctor, but I play one on TV.”

“A lot,” said Mark Consuelos, referring to Wolf’s past roles as medical professionals on Everwood and The Night Shift.

“You are basically a doctor at this point,” Kelly Ripa added.

“I’m kind of a doctor! So last night I was talking to my wife — and my daughter’s miserable, my wife’s kind of miserable — and I’m like, ‘Listen honey, I’m not a doctor, but I play one on TV,’ ” Wolf said, adding that “she hung up the phone. She hung up.”

When Ripa, 54, asked him to share the specific symptoms, he said his daughter “has a little more normal stuff, like tummy stuff,” but his wife “has some things on her hands, like a couple of blisters.”

“And it’s always when I’m away that these things happen,” Wolf said. But since he’s been away from home, he clarified, “I’m not contagious anymore.”

“Is that your expert medical opinion?” Ripa quipped.

“Yes! I’m not a doctor, but I play one on TV. But whenever I go away, Murphy’s Law is like these things strike when I’m not there to help. And it’s frustrating and it’s hard for her!” the actor responded.

Wolf, however, was quick to praise his wife, saying, “She’s the love of my life, the smartest person in any room I’ve ever been.”

He then shared that starting next month, the two will host the podcast Raised by Wolfs. “Without saying too much, it’s kind of the conversation you didn’t know you needed to have. It’s going to be out within the next month and I’m super excited about it,” he said.
