Prince Harry addressed rumors about his relationship with Meghan Markle during the DealBook Summit in New York, dismissing claims of marital trouble and expressing pity for online trolls.
He also emphasized his family's decision to remain in the U.S. for their children's safety and his ongoing legal battle in the UK over security.

Prince Harry Dismisses Divorce Rumors And Slams Trolls
Harry recently attended the DealBook Summit in New York as a keynote speaker, while his wife Meghan Markle Meghan attended a gala in Los Angeles alongside Tyler Perry.
Speaking to Harry, event founder Andrew Ross Sorkin raised the public's obsession with their relationship.
According to the Daily Mail, Sorkin brought up the speculation surrounding their separate appearances, stating, "They're fascinated Meghan is in California right now, and you're here. There are articles left and right about: 'Why are you making, doing independent events? Why aren't you doing them together?"
However, the Duke of Sussex dismissed the rumors, joking, "Apparently, we've bought or moved house 10, 12 times. We've apparently divorced maybe 10 or 12 times as well. So it's just like, 'what?.'"
The prince went on to address online trolls, saying he feels "genuinely sorry" for those who eagerly spread false rumors, adding, "Their hopes are just built and built, and it's like, 'Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,' and then it doesn't happen. So I feel sorry for them. Genuinely, I do."
Prince Harry Says He Has Seen Stories About Himself That Aren't 'Based In Reality'
When Sorkin asked Harry why he was in New York instead of Los Angeles with Meghan, Harry joked: "Because you invited me—you should have known."
The conversation then shifted to the public's intense interest in their relationship. Sorkin remarked on how quickly speculation arises when the couple is seen apart.
"Is that normal for you?" he asked. "The second there's an article — she's in California, you're in New York — they say, 'Well, what is happening with these two, right?' Is that a good thing for you, in a way, that there's so much interest in you."
However, Harry brushed off the persistent divorce rumors and reflected on the impact of media scrutiny.
"I've had a lived experience since I was a kid. I've seen stories written about myself that aren't exactly based on reality. I've seen stories about members of my family, friends, strangers, all sorts of people," he said.
"And I think when you grow up within that environment, you do find yourself questioning the validity of the information but also what other people are thinking of that as well, and how dangerous it can be over time," Harry added.
Prince Harry Discusses Family Life In The U.S. And Legal Battle Over Security At DealBook Summit
Speaking at the DealBook Summit, Harry emphasized that he and Meghan have no intention of returning to the UK with their children, Archie and Lilibet, sharing that the decision to stay in the U.S. was deeply rooted in ensuring his children's safety.
"I very much enjoy living here and bringing up my kids here," The prince said, highlighting the activities he enjoys with Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3, that he "undoubtedly wouldn't be able to do in the UK."
He added that his focus remains on "being the best husband and dad I can be."
Harry remains in a legal battle with the UK Home Office over the removal of his police protection when the couple stepped back from royal duties.
Although Harry lost the initial case, he plans to appeal in April, maintaining that his security "should never have been removed."

The Sussexes Are Planning A 'Joyful' Christmas Together
Despite their solo outings, Harry and Meghan are said to be preparing to celebrate Christmas in their Montecito home, along with their children and Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, after being excluded from the royal family's traditional festivities at Sandringham.
An insider shared with Closer Magazine that the couple is focused on creating a magical and memorable holiday for their little ones.
"Meghan's mom Doria will join them at home in Montecito and they'll ensure the children have a joyful day, despite not being around extended family," the source said, adding that the absence of an invitation to join the royals was no surprise to the Sussexes.
