Pete Davidson is reportedly facing career challenges after canceling his comedy tour and Season 2 of his show "Bupkis," with insiders alleging he's "burned bridges" in the industry.

Following a stint in rehab, his team struggles to regain momentum, though he's prioritizing mental health and being selective with projects.

Pete Davidson, who recently returned to "SNL," has an estimated $8 million net worth from roles in "The Suicide Squad" and "Transformers."

According to insiders who spoke to The U.S. Sun, Davidson is "struggling" to secure new job opportunities after calling off his comedy tour.

The source alleged that Davidson has "burned bridges" within the television and film industry and that a potential deal for a new project fell apart due to his failure to attend scheduled meetings.

The source also claimed that tensions heightened when Davidson unexpectedly pulled the plug on "Bupkis" Season 2, despite the show already receiving a green light.

"When Bupkis was set for Season 2, and Pete suddenly backed out of it, people were furious with him," they said.

Additionally, several of Davidson's stand-up performances were canceled following his rehab stint in late July, with concerns growing over his behavior after his breakup with Madelyn Cline.

Since leaving rehab, Davidson's team is reportedly struggling to regain momentum for his career.

An insider suggested that efforts to encourage the comedian's online presence have fallen flat.

"His team keeps trying to get him to go on social media, so he went on, but then he got back off," they shared. "The guy is just really hard to work with."

However, another source painted a different picture, emphasizing Davidson's focus on his well-being and deliberate approach to work.

"He gets movies and TV offers every week, but they are not necessarily aligned with things he's looking to do," they said, per the Daily Mail.

"He is actually continuously getting offers, but he's figuring out exactly what he wants," they added.

Davidson recently made a return to "Saturday Night Live," appearing in a musical skit alongside John Mulaney.

His last appearance on the show was in October 2023, when he hosted an episode with rapper Ice Spice as the musical guest.

After being a cast member on "SNL" for eight seasons, from 2014 to 2022, Davidson reflected on his early earnings in an interview with New York Magazine.

When asked about his first splurge, he joked, "'Do you guys know what they pay us? It's like three grand an episode, so I think I got dinner!"

He explained that with 18 to 22 episodes per season, cast members on a similar salary would earn between $54,000 and $66,000 annually.

Despite his seemingly modest beginnings, Davidson's current net worth is estimated at $8 million, thanks to his work in TV and film.

He has appeared in movies such as "The Suicide Squad" and "Bodies, Bodies, Bodies," and lent his voice to "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts." He also has upcoming roles in "Wizards!" and "The Pickup," both currently in post-production.

According to The Sun, last month, a source revealed that Davidson entered treatment for the second time this year to address ongoing mental health struggles.

The source said the 31-year-old recently checked into a rehab facility in Florida, arriving by private jet.

"He's in pretty bad shape this time around," the insider shared. "He's not in a good place."

The comedian's admission into treatment is said to have happened shortly after his public appearances last month when he made a cameo on "SNL" on November 2 and attended "The Room" premiere in Los Angeles with close friend Machine Gun Kelly on October 24.

Additionally, Davidson was last seen dining at a restaurant in Kingsport, Tennessee, on November 5 but has been keeping a low profile since, even on his 31st birthday last week.

Davidson was involved in a reckless driving incident in March 2023 after crashing his Mercedes into a Beverly Hills home.

The comedian was reportedly driving at about "100 miles per hour" with his then-girlfriend, Chase Sui Wonders, in the passenger seat. This landed him a misdemeanor charge, which was dismissed on July 18 this year.

Davidson joked about the incident at his stand-up comedy show in Atlantic City, which was part of his comedy tour, "Pete Davidson: Prehab."

According to the Daily Mail, the former "SNL" star told the audience at his show that when he got a call regarding the charges being dropped, he responded, "Hooray? I guess."

Davidson added, "I did something bad. It's not anything really to be celebrated."

The actor then spoke about his punishment, sharing that he was ordered to serve 50 hours of community service, which just ended.
