Freeman and Green sang a duet of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member's 1971 classic, "Let's Stay Together," and the crown even joined in to enjoy the fun.
Morgan Freeman is reportedly a co-owner of the blues club.

The Instagram account for the Ground Zero Blues Club shared a video of the Al Green-Morgan Freeman performance on Dec. 31 with the caption, "Morgan Freeman & Al Green LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!"
The video featured Freeman sporting a cream turtleneck sweater with a dark double-breasted jacket on stage singing "Let's Stay Together" with the legendary Green, who was rocking a green blazer with a black lapel paired with a white button-down shirt.
Green asked the crowd to join in as he and Freeman crooned, "I | I'm so in love with you | Whatever you want to do | Is alright with me | 'Cause you make me feel so brand new | And I want to spend my life with you."
Freeman sang solo for the second verse; "Let me say that since, baby | Since we've been together | Ooh, loving you forever | Is what I need," and the 87-year-old movie star even hit the high notes, which prompted swift approval from Green as he clapped for the "Million Dollar Baby" actor before continuing the song.

Freeman also marked the New Year's Eve performance with a post on social media.
The "Lioness" actor shared snapshots of the duet on X, formally Twitter, with the caption, "We ushered in the New Year with Al Green and Kingfish at Ground Zero last night. Happy New Year, everyone!"
Fans praised the video in the comment section and wished the "Shawshank Redemption" star a Happy New Year in return.
"I need more of this in my life and a whole lot less petty bickering. Happy New Year, Mr. Freeman. May your blessings be abundant in 2025," wrote one fan.
