Couples are front and center in Netflix's No Good Deed — but in real life, much of the cast have romances of their own.
The dark comedy series follows three families battling it out to buy the same Los Angeles house, only to find that it might not be the dream home they imagined. The story centers on Lydia (Lisa Kudrow) and Paul Morgan (Ray Romano), the seemingly perfect couple with a big secret, who find themselves caught in the middle of the chaotic bidding war over their Los Feliz abode.
Among the buyers: Margo (Linda Cardellini) and JD (Luke Wilson), a couple stuck in a crumbling marriage, Leslie (Abbi Jacobson) and Sarah (Poppy Liu), wives who are struggling to start a family, and Dennis (O-T Fagbenle) and Carla (Teyonah Parris), enthusiastic newlyweds with a baby on the way who are ready to begin their lives together.

While the on-screen couples face plenty of drama, the cast's real-life romances are much less complicated. Kudrow married her husband, Michael Stern, in 1995, while Romano wed his wife, Anna Romano, in 1987.
Here's everything to know about the real-life partners of the No Good Deed cast.
Lisa Kudrow and Michael Stern
Lisa Kudrow, who stars as Lydia Morgan, met her husband, Michael Stern, in the 1980s in France — while he was dating her roommate.
"I was living with [a] French girl and he had just moved here and they were dating when we first met. But I'm freakishly polite, so I saw him and went, 'Well, he's the perfect man and it's all ruined because now they're together and I can't (make a play for him),' " said Kudrow, as reported by the Daily Mail.
She added, "I thought that that's not nice to flirt. But the minute I saw him I went, 'Well, that's it, there he is.' "
Stern eventually split with Kudrow's roommate, and the two reconnected and began dating years later. They tied the knot in 1995 and later welcomed a son, Julian Murray.
Ray Romano and Anna Romano
Ray Romano might be married to Kudrow on-screen as Lydia's husband Paul Morgan, but in real life, he's been married to his wife, Anna Romano, since 1987.
They met in 1993 while working at a bank together in Queens, N.Y., as Romano was trying to break into the comedy scene. They didn't start dating until 1985, once he had left his job as a bank teller to pursue stand-up.

The couple welcomed their first and only daughter, Alexandra, in 1990, before going on to have three more kids: twins Matthew and Gregory in 1993, followed by son Joseph in 1998.
Linda Cardellini and Steven Rodriguez
Linda Cardellini, who stars as Margo Starling, has been engaged to her childhood sweetheart Steven Rodriguez since 2013 — but met him nearly three decades earlier.
The actress told PEOPLE in June 2013 that she was first introduced to Rodriguez when she was 10 and he was 11 years old.
"He was the new kid at my school,” she said. “He could do amazing bike tricks and I was impressed. Not afraid to say it.”
They didn't become romantically involved until the early 2010s, realizing they "should’ve been doing that all along."
"It didn’t take long to figure out we were amazing friends and we could probably be great partners," Cardellini said.
They welcomed a daughter, Lilah-Rose, on Feb. 29, 2012.
Luke Wilson
Luke Wilson portrays JD Campbell, an unemployed soap opera star desperately searching for his next role.
Although he's married to Margo (Cardellini) in No Good Deed, Wilson appears to be single in real life.
Abbi Jacobson and Jodi Balfour
Abbi Jacobson, who plays Leslie Fisher, met her wife, Jodi Balfour, in 2020. It was the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, so they had their first date while 25 feet apart in Jacobson's Los Angeles home, per Cultured.
“I had a very complex theory about my own relationship to romance. Then I saw Abbi standing just outside her front door and I thought, Oh, I love this person. Cool,” Balfour told the outlet in June 2024 of their first date.
Jacobson added, “I made her walk outside to the backyard by herself so I could have a moment to say to myself, ‘Oh God, I’m in love.’ ”
They got engaged two years later while in London before tying the knot sometime in 2023 — although they didn't announce their New York City wedding until months later.
"We were in a dark wooden room with no windows, an insane sound system, and a disco ball," Balfour told Cultured of the night. "Everyone’s nice clothes became wet rags. People were smoking who don’t smoke. Our moms did the hora. It was like we all existed in a different dimension for a while."
Poppy Liu
Poppy Liu takes on the role of Sarah in No Good Deed, and while she appears to be single in real life, she has a heartfelt romance on-screen with her wife, Leslie (Jacobson).
In December 2024, creator Liz Feldman told Tudum, “I think her chemistry with Abbi is so adorable and sweet."
Teyonah Parris and James
In No Good Deed, Teyonah Parris' Carla has recently gotten married and is expecting a child with her husband (Fagbenle), striking a resemblance to her real life as a new mom.
Although it is unknown how they met or when they tied the knot, Parris and her husband, James, welcomed a daughter together in early 2023.
In November 2022, Parris shared maternity photos on Instagram and gave a special shout-out to her husband, whom she felt "blessed" to be on "this journey alongside."
"Thank you so much for all that you do for me and our family, my love," she wrote.
O-T Fagbenle
In No Good Deed, O-T Fagbenle portrays Dennis, Carla's husband. Although he is quick to show off public displays of affection with his newlywed wife in the show, Fagbenle keeps his real-life love life much more private.
Denis Leary and Ann Leary
Denis Leary, who plays ex-con Mikey, has been married to his wife, Ann Leary, since 1989.
During a July 2024 appearance on The Martha Stewart Podcast, Ann shared that she and Leary didn't see much of each other "early on in the marriage" due to his work travel, which she believes played a big part in the longevity of their relationship.
"I think that's the key to a successful marriage," she said. "I'm fascinated by him."
"It's wonderful when he comes home. He always works with really interesting people," Ann added. "I'm a bit of a hermit. So I like to hear what exciting things he's done, but I like to stay home. But I just find him funny. I think we just — we get along. We have [a] great history together."
They share two kids: a son, Jack, and a daughter, Devin.
