Lindsay Lohan Reveals Her ‘Fun’ Holiday Plans with Son Luai — Including What Specifically Gets Him 'Excited'

Lindsay Lohan is getting ready to mark her son Luai's second Christmas.

The actress, 38, told Alexa Holiday Fashion 2024, via The New York Post, that she enjoys time spent with her son and husband Bader Shammas in Dubai, where they reside, during this time of year.

Detailing specifically that she loves to wrap presents, Lohan said, "For my son, I want to do fun ones. If he sees dinosaur wrapping paper, he gets excited."

"So that’s what’s fun for me — wrapping presents and putting up the tree. And filming every moment of it," she continued.

Lohan said her desire to “do everything for the baby” has influenced the work she’s doing recently.

“For me, everything is about my child and my family and my household, and making sure that my work is in line with what’s going to work for everyone else,” she told Alexa Holiday Fashion 2024, per the Post.

Following her role in Netflix’s Falling for Christmas in 2022, Lohan returns to screens in the streaming service’s latest movie, Our Little Secret, in which she stars opposite Ian Harding, Kristin Chenoweth and her Mean Girls costar Tim Meadows.

The film was shot in Atlanta and marked Lohan's first as a working mom. “My son was six months old, and so I was learning for the first time really how to go and work and be on set and come home,” she said. “Where I was staying was really close to where we were filming. So it was pretty much just a normal day job, and I felt so blessed for that.”

Earlier this year, while attending the premiere of the Mean Girls musical movie in New York City, Lohan told PEOPLE "I hope so" when asked if she identifies as a "cool mom" — a nod to a line from the original film.

The actress' mother, Dina Lohan, opened up to PEOPLE in 2023 about being thrilled to watch her daughter settle into her new role as a mom.

"To watch my oldest daughter with her beautiful son is a memory engraved in my heart forever," Dina, 62, said. "Lindsay took to her best role ever so naturally ... she was always meant to be a mother."
