Fans of the late Liam Payne will soon have the opportunity to hear new music from the beloved singer.

Following the tragic passing of the former One Direction member at the age of 31 on October 16, Grammy-winning producer Sam Pounds has announced an upcoming release of Payne's first posthumous track.

The news comes nearly two weeks after Liam Payne reportedly fell from a third-floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Wednesday, October 16.

Following Payne's tragic passing, Grammy-winning producer Sam Pounds has announced the upcoming release of his first posthumous track, "Do No Wrong."

"I pray that this will be a blessing to the world like Liam has always dreamed," Pounds wrote in an X post, on the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, on October 28. "I pray angels will comfort you all every day while listening. I pray that this song will be a blessing to Ruth, Bear, and the entire family."

He added, "I pray that this song eclipses the negative echoes. I pray supernatural positive healing power will embrace each and every one of you."

According to the announcement, the release of "Do No Wrong" will include the original track, a live mix, and an a cappella version— all set to be available for streaming on November 1.

Liam Payne's Last Release Was 'Teardrops'

Prior to his passing, Payne's most recent music release was the single "Teardrops," which debuted in March.

“Teardrops are falling down your face again/‘Cause I don’t know how to love you/When I am broken too,” Payne sings in the song as he admits “I could be the problem."

“I’m hating on myself ’cause I hate it when I make you cry," he later sings.

Payne tragically passed away after reportedly falling multiple stories from the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Wednesday, October 16. According to ABC News, sources have confirmed that a partial autopsy revealed the star "had multiple substances in his system" at the time of his death, including "pink cocaine."

Pablo Policicchio, the communications director for the Buenos Aires Security Ministry, informed Page Six that investigators are actively working to determine whether the fall was accidental or intentional.

"Teardrops," which Payne co-wrote with former *NSYNC member JC Chasez and frequent One Direction collaborator Jamie Scott, was released as the lead single from what was intended to be his second solo album. “'Teardrops' is about the vulnerability of heartbreak and the challenge of overcoming those moments,” Payne said in a press release, per The New York Post, for the single.

“This song marks the start of a new beginning, there’s lots more to come in 2024,” he continued, adding that his new music was coming after a “year long process of self-reflection.”

Reports indicated that Payne had postponed the release of his second album in the period leading up to his death. This decision added to the uncertainty surrounding his musical future and left fans speculating about what could have been in store for the talented artist.

According to a source who spoke to the Sun on October 8, “things are tough for Liam at the moment” after he parted ways with his manager earlier in the year.

“He was a steady hand for Liam and he appears to be struggling without his guidance,” the source added. “Things have started to seem slightly erratic, with plans being made before they are canceled last minute.”

According to hotel staff, the 31-year-old was acting erratically and appeared under the influence of “drugs and alcohol,” with reports of him “trashing his room.” An initial toxicology report confirmed the presence of cocaine, while authorities also discovered prescription drugs and paraphernalia in his suite.

Medical officials confirmed on Thursday that Payne suffered a fractured skull and died instantly from "very serious injuries." Many One Direction fans have since taken to social media to express shock and sadness following his tragic death.
