But thanks to the good folks at Levi's, who outfitted Timothée Chalamet in a custom wardrobe of ‘60s-era Bob Dylan bangers, all you need is a reliable internet connection. Earlier this morning, the first name in denim dropped a duo of pieces that don’t simply evoke the spirit of Dylan’s swagger during his early days on the folk circuit—they’re literally the same designs Chalamet wears in the role, down to the personal flourishes devised by the Bard himself.Levi's1955 Customized 501 Jeans$495 Levi'sIf you managed to avoid any kind of media for the last six months or so, let’s rewind for a second. A Complete Unknown, the Chalamet-starring biopic focusing on Dylan’s journey to an electric performance at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival, comes out Christmas Day. As expected, it’s good. Even better, though, might be the clothes it spotlights, a grab-bag of Dylan hallmarks like threadbare flannels, razor-sharp suiting, and, most of all, jeans. And because Dylan himself wore the hell out of customized Levi’s 501s, the team at Levi’s Vintage Clothing thought you might want to wear ‘em, too. And because they were feeling extra generous (it’s the holidays, after all), they went ahead and recreated the luscious suede trucker he wore throughout the early ‘60s while they were at it.Levi's1960s Suede Jacket$1,200 Levi'sBut let’s get back to those jeans. Like all LVC silhouettes, these 1955 501xxs are stitch-for-stitch reproductions of the reference model in question—down to the denim itself, sure, but also the pocket positions and dimensions. But Levi’s didn’t stop there, because, well, Dylan didn’t stop there. The 501s are also retrofitted with the same aftermarket gusset the artist himself inserted to better accommodate his boots, leveling up their value accordingly. The jacket, a remake of the suede trucker Dylan wore in the ‘60s, shines just as brightly as the original, courtesy of a very au courant cropped silhouette that will easily accommodate any and all cold-induced shrugged shoulders. Both are available now in extremely limited quantities at Levi’s.com, so if you see something you like, don’t think twice.
