Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are ready to soak in the sun in Palm Springs!
Days before the Live with Kelly and Mark co-hosts travel to the California hotspot to tape four shows from The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort and Spa, they shared exclusively with PEOPLE how their trip to the West Coast came to be.
"We manifested this. We really, really did," Cosuelos, 53, tells PEOPLE.
"It's one of our favorite places. I think we started talking about it and we were just joking. We were like, 'We should do the show there,' to [Michael] Gelman," he shares. "We talked about it so much that I think it got their attention in Palm Springs, and it just kind of happened."
Ripa, 54, says that while they are both "so excited" for the getaway, one of the biggest things she's looking forward to is having a "great reunion" with old friends.
However, she tells PEOPLE that any reports of her and her husband of 28 years staying there permanently are inaccurate.
"What's so funny is it's been reported, and I don't know where in a couple of tabloids that we are moving there," says Ripa as she asks Consuelos if he's aware of the reports.

"My uncle has called me to congratulate me on moving to Palm Springs," she adds. "I'm getting all of these phone calls from people saying, 'Oh my gosh, I can't believe you're finally moving to California after all these years.' And I'm like, 'We're going for four days. Everybody calm down.' "
While the couple will be in Palm Springs for four days, the episodes will be taped on Sunday, Nov. 10, and Monday, Nov. 11. They will air from Monday, Nov. 11 to Thursday, Nov. 14.
The location change will also not affect the show's celebrity guest lineup, which includes Kyle Richards, Mark Harmon, Justine Lupe, Don Johnson, Caroline Rhea, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Jerry O’Connell, and Rebecca Romijn. Neon Trees and Bishop Briggs are also set to perform.

As for what they may be doing during those shows, Consuelos says he's ready to golf with O'Connell, 50, while Ripa says she wants to teach Gelman how to play Mahjong.
Ripa jokingly adds that, with Consuelos recently crowned PEOPLE’s Sexiest TV Show Host Alive, she's determined to "find a way" to get her husband next to a pool and "videotape" it for fans.
