Tennis power couple Katie Boulter and Alex de Minaur have announced their engagement. The pair have been a together for almost five years, and took to Instagram to share the news that they are to get married. Boulter and de Minaur began dating in 2020 In a post on social media, Boulter, 28, can be seen wrapping her left arm around de Minaur, 25, with her diamond engagement ring on show. They captioned the upload: “We’ve been keeping a small secret…” The announcement has gained over 30,000 likes already, with fellow British tennis star Emma Raducanu among those to congratulate the happy couple. The 2021 US Open champion commented: “Congrats!!” Compatriots Laura Robson and Heather Watson could also be spotted in the comments section to share their delight at the news. Retired former star Robson wrote: “You cutieesss. Best pre-season news ever”. Meanwhile, Boulter’s international teammate Watson replied to the news: “You two beauties.” The official announcement comes just a week after the British number one appeared to tease some good news. In July, de Minaur enjoyed an impressive run to the quarter-finals at Wimbledon, and received huge support from the British crowd due in no small part to his relationship with Boulter. This prompted him to jokingly refer to himself as an ‘honorary Brit’. Ahead of his last eight clash with Djokovic, de Minaur said: “Oh, 100 per cent. I’ll take all the support I can get.
