Kate Beckinsale can do anything in her signature shoe.
In a new Instagram video shared on Dec. 19, the Serendipity star, 51, performed a balancing act while decorating her very festive (and very pink) Christmas tree.
While seemingly risky, the star wore a pair of towering combat boots with thick soles as she placed ornaments on her tree on a three-step ladder.
She showed how nimble she was by managing to stay steady with one leg up in the air as she placed a decoration on a top branch. Her daughter’s “insane, elderly adopted cat” was cradled in one of her arms as well.
Beckinsale teamed her punk-rock footwear with a baby pink cardigan, high-waisted shorts, white lace tights and a black bow headband.

Platform shoes are nothing new for the actress. In July 2023, she hosted her 50th birthday party in a Playboy Bunny costume complete with dominatrix-style metallic heels.
She’s also perfected the art of walking a red carpet in the daring style.
Earlier this year, she made a head-turning entrance at the 2024 Golden Globes in glittery shoes with an eye-popping heel and did the same at the Harris Reed runway show during London Fashion Week this past fall, just in a more subdued pair.

Beckinsale is heading into the holiday season after going through a “rough year.”
At the King's Trust Gala on May 2, where she made her first carpet appearance following the news of her undisclosed health issue, the star told PEOPLE exclusively on what helped her power through the tough times.
"Because my parents have both been unwell and my cat ... it's been a bunch of things. So that's why it's nice to come and see friends and have a little perspective. Everyone's had a bit of a rough year, I think."
