Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song have mastered the art of making the holiday season extra special for their growing family. From decorating their home with sparkling lights to creating heartwarming traditions for their two young sons, the couple is all about spreading joy and holiday cheer.
As they embrace the magic of Christmas, Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song are ensuring their little ones experience a festive season filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Macaulay Culkin Knows How To Make The Holidays Special For His Family
Macaulay Culkin knows how to embrace the holiday spirit and make it truly special.
To create a magical Christmas for their sons—3-year-old Dakota and his 2-year-old brother, whose name remains private—Culkin and his fiancée Brenda Song "go all out at Christmas in our house," the actor revealed in an exclusive interview with E! News. "Because right now they're at the magic age where they believe and we want to nurture that belief."
The "Home Alone" star takes charge of cooking the holiday ham, while he and Song string up lights and fully immerse themselves in playing Santa.
Culkin also explained how he reassured his sons during his two-week absence while screening his holiday classic for fans across the U.S. "I told them that I'm at Santa's workshop fixing toys, because that's what I do for them at home," he revealed. "I'm so good that Santa Claus called me up to the North Pole. They're totally fine with that."
How Does Macaulay Culkin Always Nail The Stocking Stuffers?
Aside from his handyman duties, Culkin takes charge of his most important holiday task: stuffing the stockings hung by the chimney with care.
"I guess the best word would be maestro, maybe master, of stockings," he shared. "I nail the stockings every year. I'm just about to get on top of my stocking game as we speak."
According to Culkin, the trick is to have a wide range of interests so that Amazon can anticipate what you're thinking about before you even sign in.
Macaulay Culkin Teams Up With Uber Eats
This year, Culkin has an extra trick up his sleeve through his collaboration with Uber Eats to promote their Holiday Hub.
On December 7, the service will offer a unique twist for the holiday season—a troupe of on-demand Uber Carolers available in cities like New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Miami, and Washington, D.C., alongside delivering last-minute gifts and even Christmas trees.
"I think I have it in my contract that they have to send carolers to my house," he joked. "So I'm calling the neighbors. 'Everyone come by, I got some free carolers courtesy of Uber Eats.'"
Does The Family Watch 'Home Alone'?
Although Culkin acknowledges that his roles in the 1990 and 1992 Home Alone films were "a bit burdensome," the holiday classics remain essential viewing in the Culkin-Song household.
"Oh, heck yeah! Are you kidding me?" he said when asked if his children had seen the holiday classics. Dakota actually "think he's Kevin," Culkin shared. "I'm like, 'Do you remember going down the stairs on the sled?' He's like, ‘Mmhmm, yep. Sure do.' I'm like, ‘Do you remember when he had yellow hair?' And he's like, ‘Uh-huh, yep.'"
"I'm embracing it and at the same time, I guess the best way to put it is taking the p-ss out of it, too, having fun with it," he said. "It's very rare when you have something that encompasses an important day and I'm a part of that. It's more fun to embrace it than to fight it."

"You know when the Wet Bandits show up and I pretend there's a party there?" Culkin said, describing one of the most iconic scene from the first film. "There's a Michael Jordan thing on the train set and there's music playing and I'm doing the whole thing with the strings moving the mannequins."
"Originally, I was supposed to play the piano and things like that. It was way over complicated and they pretty much just said, 'Hey, we're going to tie some strings to you. Be a goof.' I'm like, 'You're in my wheelhouse now,'" he revealed.
