Days after McGregor's civil case, a photo of his partner leaving the courthouse has gone viral, sparking varying reactions from concerned netizens.

The controversial MMA fighter was accused of sexual assault by Nikita Hand, who alleged that he "brutally raped" and "battered" her in a hotel penthouse during a drink and cocaine-fuelled Christmas "after party" in 2018.

McGregor initially claimed that he and Hand had consensual sex at the Beacon Hotel. He also denied causing her any harm. However, an 8-person jury, made up of four men and four women, found the fighter guilty of sexual assault and awarded Hand €248,603.60 [$259,149.36] in damages.

After the trial, Devlin was seen leaving the courthouse with McGregor, hand in hand, seemingly putting on a united front with her guilty fiancé; however, her face told a different story.

The photo has since gone viral on X, with one person noting, "This picture of Conor McGregor and his [fiancée], Dee Devlin leaving court today after the verdict speaks a thousand words."

Another person said, "Poor girl man… loyal too… pretty sure this is a super valid reason for divorce."

One more individual commented, "Dee doesn't deserve this. She's a good woman."

The former UFC champion recently took to X, formerly Twitter, to share a long introspective post where he admitted to making "mistakes" and developing "regrets" about his actions.

In his post, McGregor admitted to being unfaithful to the "woman I love the most in the world" but maintained his innocence and disclosed that he planned to appeal the ruling.

"People want to hear from me, I needed time. I know I made mistakes," he wrote. "Six years ago, I should have never responded to her outreaches. I should have shut the party down. I should never have stepped out on the woman I love the most in the world. That's all on me."

He continued, "As much as I regret it, everything that happened that night was consensual and all the witnesses present swore to that under oath. I have instructed my legal team to appeal the decision."

"I can't go back, and I will move forward," he added. "I am beyond grateful to my family, friends, and supporters all over the world who have stayed by my side. That's it. No more. Getting back to the gym- the fight game awaits!"

Following his guilty verdict, McGregor went on a series of furious rants about his victim on social media but didn't manage to keep them up for long.

In a tweet where he responded to a post that shared Hand's comment on her win, saying "Justice has been served," the MMA star knocked her for it, calling her a "vicious liar."

"Justice was served for James Lawrence, yes! Deplorable what they done. Nikita hand, vicious liar! APPEAL!" he wrote.

Also, in a now-deleted X post, McGregor blasted the verdict and vowed to appeal, highlighting that he was awaiting to be "vindicated" like his friend, James Lawrence, who Hand also accused of the crimes but was found not guilty.

Addressing the "heinous accusation," he said, "Two men falsely accused. One vindicated, the other soon to be! Congrats James Lawrence on absolute exoneration! Twice this heinous accusation was put to you and twice it was shown as FALSE! LIES!"

He went on to label the verdict as "disgraceful," adding that the jury "ignored" all the "statements of persons present" on the night of the incident.

McGregor could likely face lawsuits from more accusers for alleged sexual misconduct following Hand's victory in court.

In a statement after the Irish boxer was declared guilty, Hand weighed in on the impact of the case on her daughter and other girls and young women, saying, "They can grow up in the world now" and "don't have to shut up and say nothing" in the face of abuse.

According to the Daily Mail, at least four women have made similar accusations against McGregor in the last five years and may now feel the need to speak out despite police and prosecutors rejecting their cases.

As recently as July 2023, he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman in the bathroom at the Kaseya Center in Miami during the NBA final.

Speaking outside the court on Friday, Hand told victims like her that she hoped her story "is a reminder that no matter how afraid you might be, speak up, you have a voice, and keep on fighting for justice."
