The 2025 Miami Open may get a surge in ticket sales. This was after Nick Kyrgios‘ former friend and rival admitted he is looking to pair up with the Australian in Miami this year. Jack Sock and Nick Kyrgios played doubles together at the 2018 Laver Cup Former US No. 1 and World No. 8 Jack Sock came out to announce he wants to return to the ATP Tour in Miami and pair up with his former partner Kyrgios. Sock enjoyed a successful career in singles and doubles, winning his biggest singles title at the 2017 Paris Masters as he cracked the top 10 and qualified for the ATP Finals where he reached the semis. The 32-year-old was even more successful in doubles, winning four Grand Slam titles and picking up an Olympic gold medal in 2016. Now, he wants a chance to add to his trophy cabinet and wants Kyrgios as his partner again. The pair won two titles together, the 2018 Lyon Open and the 2022 Washington Open, before Sock hung up his racket after the 2023 US Open. Sock, who is a former World No. 2 in doubles, recently asked Miami Open tournament director James Blake on the Nothing Major Podcast if he could receive a doubles wildcard. “I have a competing player question,” Sock asked Blake. “Nick Kyrgios and myself might be asking for a wild card into doubles of your event here in a few months. Would that be [possible]?” Everyone on the podcast was in shock, with John Isner claiming that it was “breaking news” while Sam Querrey exclaimed: “Wow!” Blake, a former world No. 4, asked: “So you’re getting back on the tennis court?” After not getting an answer, Sock asked Blake again if he would give him a wildcard. We got to think about that. That’s going to cause some problems.’ But you guys, I think you’d have a pretty good chance. I mean, you guys could sell some tickets.” Kyrgios enjoyed his own return to the court recently after recovering from a wrist injury that saw him have surgery in September 2023. The Australian teamed up with Novak Djokovic in Brisbane where the pair won their first match but eventually were knocked out in the second round.

Former US No. 1 and World No. 8 Jack Sock came out to announce he wants to return to the ATP Tour in Miami and pair up with his former partner Kyrgios.
