Harrison Ford Attended the SAG Awards Without Wife Calista Flockhart: Here’s Why

The veteran actor was joined by his 'Shrinking' costars at the 2025 SAG Awards

Harrison Ford recently revealed why his wife Calista Flockhart didn't accompany him to the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards. 

During PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly’s red carpet coverage of the SAG Awards at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 23, the Indiana Jones star, 82, said Flockhart, 60, was busy working.

“My wife is in New York doing a play,” he said of the Ally McBeal actress’ absence. Flockhart is currently starring in a production of Curse of the Starving Class by the late Sam Shepard.

But that didn’t mean Ford was alone for his big night. The actor, who portrays Dr. Paul Rhoades in AppleTV+’s Shrinking was joined by his cast mates at the event, including Jason Segel.

“I didn’t know what it was going to be, but it turned out to be something very special for me,” Ford told PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly of how viewers have reacted to the show.

He added, “I’m very touched by the kind of contact I have with fans of the show. They only wanna say that they enjoy it. They don’t want anything. They don’t want a picture, they don’t want an autograph. They just wanna share their pleasure in what it is that we are doing.”

The series was nominated for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series, which ultimately went to Only Murders in the Building. Ford was also nominated for outstanding performance by a male actor in a comedy series for the show, which Only Murders star Martin Short won.

While Ford and his show came up short, he still appeared to have a good time inside the ceremony.

While his costar Jessica Williams was onscreen at their table during the SAG Awards' famous "I Am an Actor" opening segment, the Captain America: Brave New World actor was hilariously caught stuffing his face with a cracker in her background.

"Los Angeles is known as the city of dreams and sure enough, all of my dreams have come true here, from my dream of preparing," Williams, 35, said before she was interrupted by the audience’s laughter.

Seeing the giggles were caused by Ford’s appetite followed by his surprised face, she joined in on the moment.

"I told him to turn away! Don't look!" Williams quipped.
