George Kittle’s solemn response to Brock Purdy stiffing him with no Christmas gift

It’s the time of the year when quarterbacks give their offensive linemen expensive and extravagant gifts for all their hard work up front. For instance, Brock Purdy just gifted his offensive line with 10 brand new Toyota trucks. Purdy gifted a total of 10 new Toyotas to his teammatesX@49ers A very nice (and costly) gesture. A gesture, that teammate and starting tight end, George Kittle, wished to be a part of. After the video of Purdy surprising his offensive line with new trucks went public, people had a lot of questions. Specifically, former NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick posted on X, “So many questions: – if they are given $80k cars are they now paying taxes on the gift? – Did Brock register these trucks for each guy? “How did they decide who got the 5 sequoias and who got the 5 trucks? – Did Toyota also give Brock a vehicle? – Does Kittle get one?” While most of those questions will be left unanswered to the public, Fitzpatrick did get one answer. Kittle did not get a truck. The All-Pro tight end commented under Fitzpatrick’s post with a GIF of Narcos’ Pablo Escobar, staring off into space, defeated and dejected. No truck for Kittle. The QB-TE duo have been just as good as anyone over the last two seasons togetherGetty Fitzpatrick responded to Kittle with a laughing emoji, saying, “the poor TE room always forgotten about…” He has a point. The offensive linemen always get taken care of by the quarterback, deservedly so, they block and protect for him all season long, but still, the other position rooms should still get love too. It’s been a trying and difficult year for the 49’ers in particular, as they have been ravaged by injuries, scuffling to a 6-8 mark on the year. A team that was one half of football away from winning the Super Bowl last year, is all but likely to be watching the postseason from their couches this time around. While not officially eliminated, San Francisco has less than a two-percent chance to make the playoffs. In other words, they’re eliminated. Their final three remaining games are at Miami, home against Detroit, and at Arizona. Win out, and hope for chaos and a lot of help. While the fancy new trucks are nice, the 49’ers would have probably liked to receive a couple more wins as a gift instead.
