A ‘devastated’ Noel Gallagher might think twice before returning to commentate on his beloved Manchester City.

Gallagher is a die-hard Man City supporter, following the Premier League giants home and away.

And he joined the TNT Sports commentary team for his side’s Champions League clash against Sporting, no doubt hoping to watch Pep Guardiola‘s team put on a real show.

However, things did not quite go his way, with incoming Man United boss Ruben Amorim masterminding a resounding victory as the Portuguese side came from behind to stun the Citizens.

Gallagher had been joined on commentary duty by our very own McCoist, who is in the midst of a series of European commentaries which have had him travelling round the continent.

On Thursday night, the former Rangers striker will watch his former side take on Olympiakos out in Greece in the Europa League.

Rangers have two wins and one loss from their first three European fixtures – the same as Olympiakos.

McCoist joined talkSPORT Breakfast to chat to Ray Parlour and Alan Brazil ahead of the game to discuss the Scottish side’s prospects.

But before asking about the game, Parlour had something far more pressing to ask McCoist.

The ex-Arsenal star cheekily quizzed McCoist: “Who are you commentating with, though, tonight? Is it Gordon Ramsay?
