F1 schedule 2024: Dates, race results and UK start times for final two Grands Prix
The 2024 Formula 1 season has reached its penultimate pitstop and Max Verstappen has won the drivers championship once again. F1’s governing body has overseen a record 24-race schedule length, with Verstappen claiming a fourth successive world title. Verstappen is the fourth man to win four consecutive drivers’ championshipsGetty China returned for the first time since 2019, while the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola was also back after it was rained off last season. Shanghai staged one of the six Sprint weekends, alongside, Miami, Austria, and Austin, with Sao Paulo, and Qatar still to come. 2024 is also Lewis Hamilton’s 12th and final season driving for Mercedes following the news of his switch to Ferrari in 2025. The Brit icon did finally end his 945-day wait for a win between Saudi Arabia 2021 and Silverstone this summer. His record-extending ninth British GP triumph overtook another of Schumacher’s records for most wins on a single circuit in F1 history. Hamilton has since broken his own feat as the oldest driver to win a Grand Prix in the 21st century with his 105th and most recent victory in Belgium in July. However, his former title rival Verstappen has once again topped the pack overall after winning his fourth championship in Las Vegas. The 27-year-old, who won the inaugural Vegas Grand Prix last season, wrapped up another drivers’ championship with two races to go. However, the struggles of Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez means the constructors’ championship remains up for grabs into Abu Dhabi. Here is the remaining schedule for the rest of the season.
