Dua Lipa is opening up about being snubbed by the Grammy Awards.
In a cover story interview with Billboard U.K. on Monday, Dec. 16, the "Houdini" musician, 29, discussed her reaction to not getting a Grammy nomination for her 2024 album Radical Optimism after earning 10 nominations over the years, as well as a win for best new artist in 2019.
“I’m so proud of Radical Optimism and where it’s brought me," she told the publication. "I love that album and I’m having the time of my life performing it live, and I’ve been able to do things that I thought I could only dream of this year, so I’m really grateful."
Added Lipa: "Although it would have been nice to be recognized by your industry, especially as a woman, I’m so proud seeing so many incredible female artists nominated at the Grammys this year.”
Elsewhere in the interview, the "New Rules" hitmaker revealed that making Future Nostalgia allowed her to "grow as an artist" and "have the confidence" to make her latest album.
"It gave me the freedom and confidence to be like, ‘You know who I really want to make an album with? Kevin Parker. And I want to do something a bit different; I want to work with Danny L Harle and experiment with my sound, do a different vocal performance and make pop music but allow that to live in another sonic world,'" Lipa explained.
For her, "it’s been fun to shape-shift."

In September, Lipa unveiled several 2025 dates for her Radical Optimism Tour, which is set to span more than 40 shows throughout Australia, New Zealand, North America, Europe and the United Kingdom.
"RADICAL OPTIMISM TOUR 2025 !! THEY SAID THEY 'MISS 2022 DUA,'" she wrote on social media alongside the announcement, seemingly referencing her massive 2022's Future Nostalgia Tour.
The North American leg of the Radical Optimism Tour begins at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on Sept. 1, 2025. Lipa will then perform shows in Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, New York City, Miami, Dallas, Los Angeles and San Francisco before wrapping on Oct. 16, 2025, at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle.
She continued: "WELL I'LL BE HAULING ASS FOR THE FORESEEABLE AND I CAN'T WAIT TO BRING THIS SHOW TO YOU."
