Drew Barrymore doesn't play when it comes to her heart.
On her daytime talk show on Monday, Jan. 13, the actress and television personality chatted with SZA, and the pair bonded over inspiring one another, their relationships and more.
For Barrymore, 49, she said she once "found out my ex-boyfriend was cheating on me — this was decades ago. I took all of his stuff in my house and I put it all in his car, and then I rolled his car down his driveway and left it there and just walked away."
But that wasn't the end of it. "Then I made the girl he was cheating on me with meet me for drinks with him sitting there," said the Wedding Singer actress. "I was like, 'You're gonna sit here and you're gonna listen to the two of us talk! So shut up and listen!' "
"And then I drove him home and I looked at him and I go, 'Now get out,' " she told the One of Them Days actress. "By the way, he's a dear friend [now]. We were young and stupid; I did dumb things too!" she added.

"That wasn't stupid, that was fire. I'm deeply inspired," said SZA, 35.
"I'll teach you all my old tricks, 'cause they work — all my ex-boyfriends are dear friends," Barrymore told the four-time Grammy winner.
"Because you're also probably also smiling while you're like, 'Get out of the car,' " SZA quipped, in a nod to Barrymore's famously cheery demeanor.
While Barrymore didn't name which ex was the culprit, she went on, "Later, I'm like, 'Listen, you know what? We were just kids. I made mistakes too. And we're human beings, and there was so much I loved about you. Can we be in each other’s lives?' "

"It's too fresh ... it's fresh for me," SZA said. "But you know, it's fine."
Maybe in the future, maybe after some time. Time heals," she said, to which her guest joked in reply, "No it don't. Time passes, baby. Time passes!"
"We need more of each other in our lives," Barrymore said, laughing.
