Diddy Parties Blamed For 'Ruining' The Theme Of Michael Rubin's Famed Annual White Party: 'Bad Stigma'
Michael Rubin will no longer host his annual White Party after Sean “Diddy” Combs’ similar soirees ruined the theme with “bad stigma.”
Michael Rubin will reportedly no longer host his annual White Party after Sean "Diddy" Combs' similar soirees "ruined" the theme with "bad stigma."
The famed businessman has thrown a party at his home in Bridgehampton since 2021 after initially purchasing it the previous year.
Michael Rubin now intends to focus more on "charitable events" in the coming years, with one of the events scheduled for September this year.
Diddy's White Parties Have Reportedly Caused The End Of Michael Rubin's Annual White Party
According to the U.S. Sun, Rubin no longer intends to host his annual White Party after organizing one every year since 2021.
The party typically took place at his Bridgehampton party palace, with a select number of famous guests allowed to attend.
Sources have linked the decision to end its run to the scandal surrounding embattled rapper Diddy, whose similar soirees are now tied to the sex charges he is facing.
They claimed that discoveries about Diddy's parties tainted and "ruined" the theme for Rubin's own, making it only wise to discontinue it.
"Diddy White Parties have given the theme such a bad stigma after everything that came out this past year," an insider told the news outlet.
For the last edition, stars like Kim Kardashian and Tom Brady each received personalized invites, hand-colored by Rubin's close friend, artist George Condo.
Additionally, other less prominent celebrities on the 300-person guest list were provided custom black-and-white invitations reportedly valued at $35,000.
The Fanatics CEO Wants To 'Focus On More Charitable Events'
Sources also revealed additional reasons why the Fanatics CEO decided to end his annual soiree.
"Michael and his people thought the White Party couldn't get any bigger than it already is, and they wanted to end it on a high note," the insider shared. "It is the biggest celebrity party of the year, so it's a big deal they're ending it, but they also wanted to end it before it got corny.
They added, "It was also getting completely out of control with people trying to snag an invite."
Moving forward, Rubin reportedly plans to "focus more on charitable events," a claim echoed by a second source, who also cited other programs as contributing factors to the party's cancellation.
"There was never going to be a party this summer," the insider further remarked. "The plan has always been to rotate the Reform charity event and his summer party so there aren't two in the same year."
"Plus, with Fanatics Fest now moving to June this year, that party was never on the schedule for 2025," they concluded.
All About Diddy's Infamous Parties
Diddy has become infamous for two types of parties: his glamorous White Parties, which ended in 2009, and his hedonistic "Freak Offs," which have only recently come to light.
The latter is now linked to the rapper's federal charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
According to reports, these "Freak Offs" have been described as wild gatherings where multiple women engaged in sexual acts with male escorts, with several high-profile celebrities allegedly attending these hedonistic events.
These parties were also reportedly marked by instances of violence, with accusations against the music mogul for assaulting female victims, including hitting, kicking, dragging, and throwing objects at them.
Diddy's Ex-Party Planner Shared How The Rapper Decorated Rooms For His Sex Parties
A former party planner for Diddy previously revealed that the rapper would decorate his mansion with mirrors whenever hosting his infamous sex parties.
They claimed that this unique setup allowed guests to see themselves "reflected again and again" while also enabling Diddy to observe every angle during the alleged sex orgies held at his home.
"It was definitely a vibe he wanted to put out there, that everywhere you looked, there would be sex happening. It was wall-wall debauchery," the planner said about the decor, per the Daily Mail.
The Parties Reportedly Cost Diddy $500k
Each of these extravagant parties reportedly cost the rapper $500,000, a price he was always willing to pay as long as he was assured it would be "great."
"All he would ask was, 'Is it going to be a great party?' If the answer was yes, he was willing to pay," said the source.
They added about the rapper, "He was [also] hiring both men and women who called themselves 'models,' but it seemed obvious, at least to me, that they were actually sex workers."
