Days after sparking romance rumors with a male friend, Christina Haack has clarified her relationship status — she is still single!
The "Christina on the Coast" star recently called out fans and the media for speculating about a possible romance with her pal. She stressed that she did not need dating rumors to make headlines amid her third divorce from her estranged husband, Josh Hall.
Christina Haack and her former beau announced their separation in July and subsequently filed for divorce. Their split has been anything but peaceful, with nasty allegations and a fight over the sale of the HGTV personality's Tennessee home.
Christina Haack Sets The Record Straight About Her Dating Life
The dating rumors about Christina and the general contractor Michael Lange began on Wednesday when they posed for a picture. The entertainer shared the image on her Instagram Story, capturing her in a warm embrace with her pal. "Putting in the work!" she captioned the post.
Lange reposted the snap on his Instagram Story with the caption: "Shopping with the queen of @hgtv." The duo appeared in good spirits in the snap, brightly smiling at the camera with their arms around each other's waist.
While some saw their close bond as a possible romance, Christina shut down that narrative in a recent Instagram Story post, writing: "Slow news day… I should be able to post pictures with my MARRIED male friends and male co-workers without it being an omg look who she's dating thing."
The Reality TV Star Has More 'Interesting Things To Say'
Christina noted the dating rumors were "So bizarre and ridiculous" before telling the media to stop reporting on speculations. She claimed they did not need to make up stories about her life when she had more intriguing teas to spill.
"Dear the media... I have plenty of interesting things to say (especially when it comes to my latest divorce) — we don't need to invent things [wink emoji]," Christina concluded. As for the picture that sparked the romance speculations, she and Lange might have linked up for business.
PageSix shared that Christina was possibly filming "The Flip Off" during her meeting with Lange. In a separate Instagram Story update, she was seen shopping for landscaping with Heather Rae El Moussa. The latter is married to Tarek El Moussa, Christina's first ex-husband.
The 'Flip or Flop' Alum's Rep Denied The Dating Rumors
As stated, Christina's close bond with Lange raised several eyebrows, with one fan saying, "Wow – that was fast!" at their speculated romance. However, the reality TV star's rep stressed that nothing was happening between the pair.
"There is no rumored romance. They work together and are good friends," the rep claimed. Christina and Lange's shopping post wasn't the only reason fans suspected they were dating. Days earlier, the entertainer honored her pal on her Instagram Story.
She shared a picture of Lange underneath her Christmas tree as he secured it inside her home. "There are still good men left. One of them right here single-handedly hoisted this 11-foot tree into my home. Appreciate you," Christina gushed.
Inside The HGTV Star's Tennessee Home Drama With Her Estranged Husband
Two months before the dating rumors, The Blast reported that Christina had responded to her estranged husband's petition to halt the sale of her Tennessee home. She listed the six-bedroom, six-bathroom property for $4.5 million in October but Josh claimed it was without his consent.
Christina argued that she notified Josh before putting the home on the market and implored the court to dismiss his motion. She stressed that any contributions he made towards the property's mortgage during their marriage "has been nominal," and he had no right to the house.
She alleged that she tried to get Josh on board with with sale, but he refused to execute the necessary agreements. Additionally, Christina claimed he presented her with an offer that had "inequitable terms," but her former beau shared a different story.
Josh Hall Accused Christina Haack Of Violating Their Agreement
In his motion to stop the sale, Josh claimed he and Christina had agreed to split their time in her properties. She was granted "exclusive use and possession" of the Newport Beach residence while he retained rights to the Tennessee home.
However, Josh argued that he only spent 12 days at the Tennessee home before Christina decided to put it on the market. "My relocation to Tennessee was significantly influenced by our aforementioned stipulation, allowing me to enjoy this property throughout our separation," he explained.
"I will now suffer prejudice because my living expenses will undoubtedly increase," Josh said about the sale. He doubled down on his estranged wife's actions being unfair, stressing: "Christina has continued to maintain the marital status quo while I have endured significant changes, to my detriment."
