Billie Eilish is opening up about her sex life — shortly after saying she never would again.
In her latest Vanity Fair interview (Eilish has done one with the publication each year since 2017, when she was 15) the singer, now 23, revealed that she has fulfilled her younger self’s desire to have “good sex.”
During one segment, the “Birds of a Feather” singer looks back at her previously unpublished 2023 interview, in which she listed some things she wants to accomplish, including “making new friends” and “having good sex.”

Responding to her younger self, the star explained that she’s fulfilled much of her list — including the “good sex,” as demonstrated by her thumbs up (meaning “did it”) and assertion that she “got there.”
“I've done nothing but make friends all year and gotten so close with people that I wasn't with before, and became friends with people I used to be friends with again,” Eilish explained. “It's just been a year filled with friendship, which honestly, even though I was saying a lot of things that I want to do, that was the thing that I wanted to do and I really did it, and it was awesome.”
“And yes, I've had a lot of good sex,” she concluded before addressing her younger self directly: “So you're welcome, Billie.”

This revelation about Eilish’s private life comes shortly after she stated in a different interview that she had no plans to discuss her sexuality or personal relationships publicly going forward.
In Vogue’s November cover story, published online Oct. 8, the star said that she regretted being candid about her attraction to women — including saying that she is "intimidated by them and their beauty and their presence" — in a 2023 interview for Variety’s The Power of Women issue.
“I wish no one knew anything about my sexuality or anything about my dating life. Ever, ever, ever,” she admitted to Vogue. “And I hope that they never will again.”
"And I’m never talking about my sexuality ever again,” she continued. “And I’m never talking about who I’m dating ever again.”
Explaining her decision further, the Grammy winner said she underestimated that the “things I say will be blown up into the biggest news of the whole world.”
She also told Vogue that she’s still learning to navigate stardom, and plans to be more careful about her words in the future. “We’re all babies,” she said. “We’re all little kids growing up and learning ourselves.”

Eilish was previously romantically linked to The Neighbourhood frontman Jesse Rutherford. A source previously confirmed to PEOPLE the pair dated for eight months before splitting in May 2023, but noted they “remain good friends.”
Prior to Rutherford, the singer was also linked to actor Matthew Tyler Vorce for a little over a year from April 2021 to May 2022, as well as Brandon Q. Adams. She opened up about dating and breaking up with the rapper, who goes by the stage name 7:AMP, in her 2021 Apple TV+ documentary, Billie Eilish: The World's a Little Blurry.
