Beyoncé is postponing her much-anticipated announcement due to the Los Angeles wildfires.

“The January 14th announcement will be postponed to a later date due to the devastation caused by the ongoing fires around the area of Los Angeles,” the pop superstar, 43, shared via Instagram on Monday, January 13.

She continued, “I continue to pray for healing and rebuilding for the families suffering from trauma and loss. We are so blessed to have brave first responders who continue to work tirelessly to protect the Los Angeles community.”

Beyoncé set a major announcement — which fans have speculated could be anything from a new tour to a new album — for January 14 following her NFL Christmas Gameday halftime show in Houston, Texas. The star performed songs from her Cowboy Carter album for the first time during the Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans game on December 25.

The singer’s family has been affected by wildfires in the Los Angeles area, which have ravaged areas such as the Pacific Palisades and the Hollywood Hills. Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, shared via Instagram on Thursday, January 9, that she had lost her Malibu bungalow to the fires. “It was my favorite place, my sanctuary, my sacred happy place,” Tina, 71, revealed.

“God Bless all the brave men and women in our fire department who risked their lives in dangerous conditions,” Tina continued. “We [thank you] for your dedication and bravery and for saving so many lives. This could have been so much worse without the dedication of the disaster workers and first responders. I’m so sad for the people who lost the five family members. My deepest prayers are with you!!!!!”

She added, “To the people who lost their homes and belongings, I can only imagine how it feels to lose properties and everything you worked so hard and sacrificed so much to own! My heart and deep prayers go out to all of you ❤I cannot imagine the pain and suffering and fear that you are enduring. I am praying diligently for our beautiful City of Los Angeles!! We are resilient though and we will recover!”
