Baylen Dupree Curses Out TLC Cameraman During Botox Appointment: He 'Sets My Tics Off' (Exclusive)

In PEOPLE's exclusive sneak peek at an upcoming episode of TLC's 'Baylen Out Loud', Baylen decides to try Botox for the first time to see if it will help ease her tics — but things take a turn quickly

Baylen Dupree is experimenting with new ways to control her tics.

Four years after receiving her Tourette Syndrome diagnosis at 18, Baylen is still learning to deal with the involuntary movements and vocalizations that come with it.

In PEOPLE's exclusive sneak peek at an upcoming episode of TLC's Baylen Out Loud, Baylen decides to try Botox for the first time to see if it will help ease her tics. Botox is a neurotoxin that weakens or paralyzes muscles, and Botox injections can help reduce the severity of tics by making it harder for the muscles to contract.

“I'm so excited to try Botox because it's a treatment that is used for Tourette's to help with facial tics,” she explains in the clip, before getting ready for the nurse practitioner to mark her face. "I think I'm prepared because I took my meds to help with my anxiety."

As the NP notes, “I was looking at your medical history," Baylen suddenly tics, shouting at one of the TLC cameramen.

“F--- you, JB,” she tells him. “Take your camera and leave!”

They then share a laugh, but Baylen repeats herself, shouting: “Yeah, take your camera and get the f--- out.”

Her mom, Julie, tells the cameras that the “tics are a little bit over the top today” and Baylen goes on to explain where that particular tic comes from.

“JB, the camera director, sets my ticks off because I watched five minutes of the debate and JB, Joe Biden, kind of just clicks,” Baylen explains in a confessional. “I have nothing against any of the crew — I love JB!”

Back at her appointment, Baylen shows the NP where she feels the tics in her face most often.

“So by injecting Botox a little bit here,” the practitioner says as she points out spots on Baylen's face. However, Baylen's tics take over again as she blurts out, "Joe Biden's vagina."

“That can help relax the muscle and also potentially help reduce the tics," the NP continues.

“And what would you say about Botox in my jaw?” Baylen questions, sharing how relaxing that area might help other tics too. “It's such a complex, extensive tick because it's not only taking my jaw for it, it's taking my whole body.”

“I don't want to set it off anymore,” she adds.

The NP later tells cameras that Baylen’s Tourette Syndrome manifests in “a lot of very abrupt rigid movements that it's almost like she's concrete in them,” before she prepares the shot.

“Because I'm going to have a needle very close to your eye, when you feel [a tic] come on, raise your hand for me so I can safely just pull out,” she tells Baylen as the teaser comes to an end.
