Barbara Palvin knows what she wants from Dylan Sprouse for Christmas.

"My ideal gift is for him to build a whole room for me with storage space where I can put all my [holiday] decorations," Palvin, 31, tells PEOPLE at the Revolve Holiday Shop at The Grove in Los Angeles.

"I [put away] my Halloween stuff, and it's like 10 big boxes, and now I'm pulling out the Christmas stuff," she continues. "I just love every holiday."

Despite his wife's love for themed celebrations during the year, Sprouse, 32, admits, however, "We don't have any storage left in the house."

Sprouse says that Thanksgiving, specifically, "is new" for Palvin, who was born in Budapest, Hungary.

"But it's another reason for me to decorate," the model — who wed Sprouse in July 2023 — admits.

Palvin adds that Christmas is also done differently in her home country.

"In Hungary, Saint Nicolas Day is the fourth of December," she explains. "So that's when Santa comes and leaves toys in the window and in your shoes."

Despite her love of the holidays, Palvin says marking them without her family overseas is "always a difficult time."

"Because we're here, and then my sister's here in L.A. now too," she says, referring to herself and Sprouse, as well as her sister, Anita Palvin.

Looking back at family traditions from her childhood that stand out to her as a grown woman now, Palvin recalls, "We had a tradition that every four years you'd have to hand-make your gifts, so you don't spend any money. You have to find things to craft and DIY, and my dad was always the best."

"I think the first time we ever did this tradition, my dad was collecting chestnuts and then little sticks and he made little figures out of them, like glued them together," she adds.
