Bournemouth to beat Everton at home (Sat, 3pm) Bournemouth ended 2024 with a seven game unbeaten run ahead of Saturday’s opening fixture of the new year against Everton on the south coast. Andoni Iraola’s side enjoyed a fantastic opening half of the season, starting the new year seventh in the Premier League table, only two points shy of the top five. They take on an Everton side who have only won once on the road all season, with only three teams having picked up fewer points away from home than the Toffees all season. Sean Dyche’s side have won just one of their last 10 matches, including none of their last five which leaves them down in 16th in the table and just two points clear of the relegation zone. 2. Preston to beat Oxford at home (Sat, 3pm) Preston head into the weekend unbeaten in their last six home matches and with two wins in their last three games which has seen Paul Heckingbottom’s side climb into 15th having been firmly in a relegation battle only six weeks ago. The Lancashire side are now only four points off the top half of the table and with their tails up ahead of their visit of Oxford who have won just one away game in all competitions this season, with only two sides having picked up fewer points on the road in the second tier. 3. Wycombe to beat Blackpool at home (Sat, 3pm) Wycombe’s New Year’s Day win over Exeter extended their current run to just one defeat in their last 19 league games, sending them back to the top of the League One table. Saturday sees Matt Bloomfield’s side take on a Blackpool side without a win in their last five matches and down in 15th in the third tier table. 4. Notts County to beat Swindon at home (Sat, 12:30pm) Notts County have won three of their last four matches ahead of their visit of Swindon to keep them within three points of the automatic promotion places in a frantic top half of the League Two table. Stuart Maynard’s side will take on a Swindon side currently just four points above the relegation zone in the fourth tier which would see them drop out of the football league. talkSPORT BET – Bet £10 Get £30 In Free Bets – CLAIM HERE* talkSPORT BET App Download the talkSPORT BET app here Download the iOS app Download the Android app 18+ gambleaware.org Commercial content notice: Taking one of the bookmaker offers featured in this article may result in a payment to talkSPORT. 18+.
