Actress Robyn Lively is all-in on a potential Teen Witch sequel.

While attending the premiere of the upcoming Paramount+ series Landman last week, the 52-year-old was asked about her iconic role in the 80s camp classic, which happens to be celebrating its 35th anniversary this year.

Robyn Lively’s 'Teen Witch' Was A Box Office Bomb, But Eventually Became A Cult Classic

Initially concepted as a Teen Wolf spinoff, as SlashFilm notes, Teen Witch, which featured Lively as the titular witch, was universally panned upon its release in 1989.

For those unfamiliar with the movie, Lively plays Louise Miller, a high school student who wants nothing more than to be the most popular girl in school. After a chance meeting on her 16th birthday with Madame Serena, a seer and close friend of Louise’s in a former life, she discovers that she is a powerful witch who can enchant her way to making her wildest dreams a reality.

Thanks to home video releases and repeated airings on networks like The Disney Channel and HBO, Teen Witch eventually gained a strong and dedicated following. It has since been rebranded as a cult classic, due to its campy nature and catchy musical numbers, including “Top That” and “Popular Girl.”

Lively won the role of Louise after negotiations with 80s pop star Debbie Gibson fell through.
