The Dodge Charger Daytona EV Muscle Car Arrives in Dealerships

There’s good news for modern muscle car fans that have been waiting for the new Dodge Charger Daytona: the all-electric muscle car is finally arriving at dealerships across the United States.

Several dealers already received the first batch of Charger Daytonas to ring in the new year. Orders opened for the Charger Daytona in September of 2024. The special deliveries come over two years after Dodge revealed the Charger Daytona concept in August 2022, so the hype is understandably high with several dealers sharing photos of the vehicles on social media.

In our official Dodge Charger reveal report, we mentioned that Dodge is including Direct Connection Stage Kit upgrades to kick off the Daytona’s first year of production. The R/T will receive the Stage 1 upgrade, offering an extra 40 horses to boost it to 496 horsepower, while the Scat Pack will come with the Stage 2 package, adding 80 horses and bringing the combined power output to 670 horsepower. For the R/T, Dodge boasts a 4.7-second 0-60 mph acceleration time and a 13.1-second quarter-mile time with a top speed of 137 mph. The Scat Pack quickens the pace with a 3.3-second 0-60 mph time and a 11.5-second quarter-mile time, but the top speed rests at 134-mph. After the first year of production, the Direct Connection upgrades will still be available, but at a cost.

Dodge also planned a few perks for early buyers of the Dodge Daytona and dubbed it a “First Call” package. The incentive includes a two-day VIP driving experience at the Radford Racing School for those who ordered the Dodge Charger Daytona R/T and the Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack, an exclusive point of contact through the Dodge Charger Dayton VIP concierge, and a welcome kit with Dodge-branded leather driving gloves and more.
